Hey guys, have you heard this latest hit song - "Brathe" by a Kenyan band -The Band Beca? Well you are the only one who hasn't.
The "Brathe" song video was on December 14th 2016 released and published on YouTube. That's around three weeks ago.
The Audio was produced by one of the best producers in the country - Cedo and the video was directed by TrueD Pictures.
So who is The Band Beca? Sounds more like H_art the Band right?
The Band Beca is according to my knowledge the only girl-band in Kenya and "Brathe" was their first song to go viral just a few months after releasing debut single "Toka".
The fast-rising all-girl music duo did three versions of "Brathe" since their 'creativity ran wild' while at the studio but only one of them went viral. You can visit here to check out the rest of the versions.
Why did these two cute ladies -BECA in full is actually they names Becky short for Rebecca Sang and Caroline Kamweru- settle for this version and call it "brathe"?
"Brathe" is a slang name for brother. But they were just referring it any guy.
For the version, they used the votes from their fans. In a recent interview they revealed that Kenyans love club bangers and that is why they did a club song however, while at the studio their creativity went wild and they decided to release three audios.
Tulifanya research tuka-find out wakenya wanapenda club songs.. and we really love singing so tukaona wacha tuimbe. Then we did three versions and two of them were very popular with our fans... that's why we released two videos for the song." Said The Band Beca.
While the "Brathe" song talks about ladies not depending on ladies, the girl band denied being feminists and claimed that they had no beef with Kenyan men.
In fact, they promised Kenyan men something nicer next time.
