Dear readers
We are finally really getting ready for our trip to Australia!
DIVING
After finishing my Open Water Diver course, I also did the Advanced Open Water Diver course and succeeded. Navigation and night diving where the best diving trips and my buddy Sandra is such a lovely girl.
Andy and I also took the nitrox diving course so we can go unter water with enriched air.
TICKETS
As for the real travel preps: We have received our tickets and vouchers as well as the e-tickets for our flights. Andy is starting to get quite nervous about flying with the children whereas I am still quite relaxed. I guess that because I've been flying with them more often than he has, I have more faith that all will be okay in the end. We have the most lovely kids and I'm sure they will behave. Most of the time at least!
When checking the vouchers, we noticed that there is a hotel night missing in Cairns but hey, we grabbed the phone, called the travel agency and all is fixed!
ADDITIONAL TRIPS
Right now, we are arranging our diving and snorkling trip to the Great Barrier Reef. The definite booking should follow soon... great!!
and once this is settled, I hope we can calculate approx when we will arrive in Brisbane. Through Facebook, I got in touch with some really lovely women who run as well and all have great pages about their running. I would love to meet these Brissie girls and go on a run with them, especially with Running GIRL Nic and her friends (such as Michelle,...) They have been a real inspiration to start running again after my knee injury.
Also, we have planned to not take the coastal road between Sydney and Melbourne but to drive through the country and maybe visit Bendigo before enjoying the European touch Melbourne's city center is supposed to have.
TRAVEL IDEA
But hey, we'll take it as it comes. When we stop at the place we really love - I'm afraid there might be lots of them! - we will just stay longer and maybe travel other routes faster. It's the travel itself and the family time that is important to us, not single "must-sees".
1 week to go until we leave!
