Day 19 - Gelugor, Malaysia

Gelugor, Malaysia

Today we were up early because we had to get to the Thai Embassy before nine in the morning. We went with Ginny and Sam to catch the number 10 bus and had to wait for a while and just when we thought we'd have to get a taxi, the bus driver turned up and we hopped on, but then had to wait for exactly 8:45 before he could leave. Needless to say we arrived slightly after nine but it all ran smoothly except when giving in the forms and the guy asked me where we would be staying in Thailand and I couldn't for the life of me remember where we had booked so Jay just made up Palm Resort in Krabi and they seemed like they knew where it was so all was good. We caught the bus back and Ginny and Sam got off to book their bus tickets to Thailand and me and Jay went to Kapitan again and I had this cheese chicken and cheese naan and it was incredible! I am loving the restaurant, and all for £2.20! Was amazing!!! We then headed back to the room to do some googling but there was no one in there and somebody was ludicrously horny. Before hand though I went to the loo and did a poo which means my bowels are fine. However when I got back to the room I had to sit down for a bit because I thought I might still need to go but it was okay. Jay insisted we have sex so we started in his bunk (we'd locked the door previously) and right at the beginning we heard footsteps coming up the stairs and then Ginny and Sam walked in. I have decided that Ginny and Sam are a right pare of characters, really nice and they're like a crazy double act but they're characters! Luckily in that time we had grabbed the sheet and covered ourselves and pretended we were having a nap. But it was blatantly obvious what we were up to because the door was locked with us inside! They left shortly and we continued. Jay felt so much better after he had finished and like he could control himself once again. After a short nap we headed back out to the Embassy to collect our passports with our rather nice Thai visas in them! When we were gonna catch the bus we realised the frequency was 45 minutes so we grabbed a taxi. Sam was told he shouldn't go up to the office because he looked too chavy, well I think it was because his tattoos were on show. We felt like we were waiting for ages and we were so sweaty it was unreal. On the way back we got the bus the majority of the way and walked the rest. It was baking! Got back to the hostel and had a shower. Ginny walked in on me but luckily I got the towel up first, it's very awkward showering with the door open with a view to the street but also doesn't bother me. Jay was useless at playing guard though! Met Sharon another English girl who'd been travelling for 7 months and got told stories about how she stayed in a a place with monks for 25 days and found it a really amazing experience but got a really bad stomach bug from a celebration where she had water chucked in her face. She's English but she looks Indian. She gave us some really good advice with travelling and stuff. We then had dinner with Sharon and she's such a nice person and she told us she was 28 but she so doesn't look her age, she looks like my age (19/20). After dinner we found another American come into our dorm, and she was from Chicago and seemed nice, she also seemed a little bit like a hippie, but that could just be the accent!
