Cotton tree, Sunshine Coast. - Noosaville, Australia

Noosaville, Australia

Today we got up really early at 4am to watch the sun rise over the Pacific Ocean at inskip point with Fraser Island in the background. It's a struggle but rising sun warms the heart and is an explosion of reds and yellows. The tent is quickly packed away and we grab some rolls and coffee for drive to Cotton Tree. Arrive and pop up the tent, its really full without the car and all our gear stuffed in. With little time in hand we go to take car back. Eurocar is middle of nowhere and takes forever to find. Why put a car drop off away from ant other transport bar one bus that goes every hour?!? Eventually we get the bus to mooloolaba and spend a few hours on the beach have a swim. we have been to so many beaches now but they are still all so incredible and each different in its own way. After a good relax we take the 5k walk home stopping on the different beaches for a rest. It's is our chill out day so we plan absolutly nothing but sitting on the beach to re coup. This goes well and we do nothing the for the first day but relax and eat. The next day is more of the same but we a treat lined up and go to get fish and chips. We go for barramundi the famous Aussie fish and have it two ways, battered like home and crumbled which is amazing! We grab some beers and have a feast. Next day is even more relaxing and we hangout on the beach and do a lot of reading, lots of kite surfers everywhere, something I've always wanted to do and is going on my list of must dos. In the evening we grab more beers you can get six for $9 so we tuckin, for a desert after the noodles we get a cake from the bakers down the road, caramel slice and rhubarb crumble! Tastes like heaven. Doesn't seem to matter how many flavour sachets you get with the noodles they all seem to have zero flavour, so caramel and rhubarb are flavour explosions! Arron comes for us on the Saturday and we head for glass house mountains, they actually look like glass hence the name. On route we stop at the Ettamongh pub, most Australian pub in the world. Its themed with all old shops around and a car on the roof, we have a pot each (basically a half pint) and then drive to the mountains to eat our pack lunch. we stuff ourselves on rolls and pretzels with homous (I have got Mark addicted thanks mum and dad who got me addicted lol :)) there is a huge blue tongue lizard walked around us, I think he wants our food... We then go for a walk to work off some of the lunch, through the rain forest. Its only about 2k, but seems hard after the last few days relaxing. In the evening we head back to Brisbane, stopping at Muff's and Nicole's to meet bubba (the British bull dog) have a great crack with there family and get a BBQ and beers. Thanks guys. From here we head over to Arrons house they have a new business and we discuss there new website and marketing for an hour or so. From hear we head back to Arron and Fro's and go to bed. We have now finished our trip north of Brisbane and prepare to head south! The next adventure begins and we are now fully re charged and ready to go.
