No sign of any camels yet! - Cape Town, South Africa
Cape Town, South Africa
There was a mention as we left Zambia that we had not as yet seen any camels, nor are we likely too! Still, we enjoyed the moment. Arrived in Cape Town late in the evening, fab guest house, the four of us seem to have a mini suite on the top floor with lounge area and a veranda from where we can view Table Mountain. With the help of our hostess, Judy, we made plans for the day, used the hop on/off bus to take us around Cape Town alighting at the cable car stop to ascend to the top of Table Mountain. Warned to take warm clothes but turned out to be very hot atop the mountain. Incredible views of the town below but substantial sea mist hid the ocean from sight. Returning to the bus, the rest of the trip was shrouded in mist and very cold and windy, strong enough to remove Gilbert's hat, sadly over the side of the bus. Thirty seconds later the narrator advised we should hold onto our hats as it gets windy in this part of the trip. Oh hoe laughed, along with the rest of the top deck who had seen Gilbert's hat disappear over board.
