Our last few days in paradise... - Hvar, Croatia

Jade and I spent all day yesterday and all day today having soo much fun!! We rented ourselves a scooter and went exploring. The island is apparently way bigger then we thought it was. We drove for a little ways yesterday and found a little beach and relaxed there until the sun went down. Then we spent our night at Carpe Diem. We can't get enough of that club it is so much fun!
Then today we were feeling extra adventurous and packed a bag for a longer journey. We headed out in the other direction and drove for a very long time. The mountain side and valleys were so beautiful. The ocean view was absolutely breathtaking. It was hard for me to not get distracted as we drove. The ocean is just so big and being on top of the mountains we got a really good perspective on how big it really is. There are certain areas that are very lush and full with trees and orchards. Well I am not sure what their called, I think they were growing olives.. well that was our guess as we drove by. You always see restaurants advertising fresh olive oil for their dishes so you would think that was appropriate? Anyways off topic... So continuing our drive some of the valleys looked very much a dessert, very bald with lots of sand and cacti. Along our path there was a huge tunnel that was super creepy to drive into. Especially because your in it for maybe five minutes and cars are zipping past our little scooter. A little more down the road and we start to see turn offs for some more little towns. Which was funny because we didn't even know the island was big enough for more towns. We ventured into one area and found a little restaurant to have dinner at. We both had a plate of lasagne; So yummy :) As it started to get dark out we thought we should head back. It was about an hour long drive on our scooter. After driving in circles trying to find a gas station we are finally able to fill up some where. Only for our head light to break off. Great! It was just getting dark so I was racing to get home. The tunnel was lit up with cool purple and pink lights though. Outside of the tunnel was scary because we could barely see and the drivers here are nuts. None the less we finally made it home and immediately collapsed on our beds.
It was such a fun day and I can't wait to do it again tomorrow. Well.. were going to get a scooter and maybe venture in another direction.
