Golf at Port Fairy - Allansford, Australia

Allansford, Australia

Set the alarm, so no sleep in, as we wanted to play golf this morning before a big group teed off at 10am. We ended p teeing off at 9am on the Port Fairy Golf course, which is a true links course. Very challenging, and difficult if you get off the fairway, as the rough is quite long ( that is if you can find your ball!!). I had a great day, drove well of the tee, didn't miss a fairway, and even had good fairway shots. I managed to beat Ian 3/2, with 38pts, and Ian had. 29, and Peter 28. It was a bit windy and cool, but not as bad as yesterday's 30-40km winds. Leaving the golf, we continued onto Koroit, to get a bit for lunch, then drove around the Tower Hill ex-volcano rim. Down on through Warrnambool, stopping for fuel, then onto Hopkins River Caravan Park, between Warnambool and Allansford, for the night.
