Adelaide City - Adelaide, Australia

Adelaide, Australia

Monday, 7th October
Into town today to check out 'Adelaide City'. Finally getting a park, we walked down to Rundle Street Mall. What a busy place - Monday - Public Holiday.. After our walk through the mall, we had lunch, and then went over to North Tce, to have a look at the old buildings of Parliment House, some monuments, the War Memorial and the State Library. Here, they had a huge art exhibition, which we went and had a look at. Very interesting, with late 1800's and early 1900's paintings from Australia and European Art.

Heading back to the car, we came across a Telstra Store, were after some enquiries, I decided to buy a new iPhone 4S, and a mini iPad. Time to get out of here!!! and back to the van.

Tuesday, 8th October
Nice to have a lull day!! Not coping with the Daylight saving change, we slept in again. Spending the morning, updating my new iPhone and iPad etc, and doing some maintenance with the van,
we finallly headed off at lunchtime to do some shopping and have lunch at Ingle Farm Shopping Centre.

Wednesday, 9th October
Leaving our quaint little caravan park at Windsor Gardens, we headed across town, calling into the maker of the Hydraulic Jack we have on the front of the van to et it checked out. After fixing the oil leak etc, we then went to a caravan repair place to get them to replace our door handle, which was nearly broken. Finally, we got to the Ocean Shores Caravan park. Boy, was it busy with kids!!, being a Big 4 park, and school holidays.

From here, we caught a bus into town to return the iPad mini cover I bought on Monday for $45 thinking it was a case. So after getting my refund from the Apple store, we then had 20 mins to get back to the bus within our 2 hr ticket. It took about an hour to get into town. Ducking into Target, I managed to get a case and protective film for $35. Feel much better know. Getting back on the bus, and the return trip home only taking about 1/2hr, we had an early tea, and then walked up to see Cavalia - the traveling horse show.

Starting at 8pm, the first half was a bit disappointing. Luckily the second half was a bit better. I expected more tricks from the horses. You can see better performing watching the Olympic Dressage competition. There was a good bit were a guy had 5 horses performing without any harnesses - a bit like Guy McLean - Susan River. Getting home about 11pm.
