Day 7 - Vegas - Las Vegas, NV
Las Vegas, NV
Where I stayed
Luxor Las Vegas
(Las Vegas hotels)
Had the "complimentary" breakfast in the hotel. I think I've had egg & bacon every morning of the holiday so far? Started off by going to the Mandalay Bay hotel to see the aquarium exhibit for $18 head. This was quite interesting with sharks, jellyfish, stingrays and the like, this only took about 1 hour to explore. We then drove to the Flamingo Hotel in middle of the "strip" and had a quick look at the wildlife habitat which was interesting but not at all extensive. From here we went to the Planet Hollywood.shopping centre. This was a very large mall which had an outdoor evening ambiance with painted ceilings depicting clouds. Had lunch then once again R was tired and even though the Bellagio was just accross the road (apparently fabulous water fountain show) we had to return to hotel. Back at the hotel, we booked 2 x shows for $110 each. Girls had wanted Cirque de Soleil but these were $200 each. Zabrina and I then went for a brief but hot swim in the pool. The first show tonight at 9 pm was Chris Angel's "Believe" show which is an illusion/magic performance (we got upgraded). The show was loud, bright and not especially innovative except for the appearance of a motorbike. However, the girls enjoyed it.
