Today was our first full day In rio, early morning we went to do some laundry and discovered that it won't be done until 6pm which meant that I had to spend the entire day in my uncomfortable dress... after this expedition we set of to find the metro, we walked past the arches and the theatro municipal; both beautiful constructions. We headed to Macarena on the metro to go visit the soccer stadium ( finals venue for the 2014 World Cup) they were sold out of guided tours so we just took a non guided tour. We got to see the VIP stand, the Brazilian teams dressing room ( it has a hot tub) as well as the pitch! It was freakin awesome and of course the stadium is beautifully built. From there we headed to the metro to go to Copacabana! And it did not disappoint. I really wish we could've had a beach day there because it's so pretty. We then caught a bus to Ipanema in an attempt to find a mall were I could buy clothes. We found the mall but it was very designer, I'm talking dolce and gabanna, Chanel, Valentino kind. I also found my Kate spade watching I've been wanting for years! It took all my self control to not buy it we also had lunch at the good court which had a prawn restaurant! This was exciting although our prawns were supposed to be spicy and they weren't...after all this and more unsuccessful shopping we head to Ipanema beach. It was pretty but I prefered Copacabana. After a while we decided to make our way back to the metro. Tah and rach decided to walk along the beach and I walked along the pathway. I kept looking back every couple of minutes or so to make sure I could see the other two and for a while it was fine. Then they disappeared. I walked back to see whether I could spot them but that was unhelpful. Eventually I started freaking out a little bit and decided to head back home. I got the first bus back and although It took she's I got there safely! We decided to go clubbig at 00 club tonight so at 10 we headed out to get our free caprinhas till midnight- the drinks were horrible as they rushed it. After this we met Paulo ad his friends! They're all from São Paulo and were up for a holiday In rio. Paulo tried to teach me the samba ( I suck), some guys got on me, ( no thanks) and we danced till 4am. Also we held hands with rach on the cab ride back. It was a great night.
