Agilysys, Inc. , a leading provider of innovative information technology and hospitality software and services, today announced that SUNY Cobleskill Auxiliary Services in Cobleskill, NY, has selected the Agilysys Eatec® inventory and procurement system and the Agilysys InfoGenesis™ POS system to streamline its foodservice operations. SUNY Cobleskill, part of the State University of New York system, has nine campus dining facilities that serve more than 3,500 meals each day.

The Agilysys Eatec and InfoGenesis POS systems work together to offer a complete and fully integrated solution for managing foodservice operations. Their combined power enables campus dining operations to proactively manage financials, conserve resources, reduce potential losses and provide more streamlined service. The InfoGenesis POS system also integrates fully with the CardSmith campus card transaction processing system used by SUNY Cobleskill, resulting in a Web-enabled meal plan and campus card processing solution that delivers a seamless customer experience.

“We did our due diligence when searching for new software systems for our dining operations and found that Agilysys had exactly the solution set we were looking for,” said Brian Marhaver, executive director for Cobleskill Auxiliary Services. “The Eatec system, in addition to helping reduce costs and control inventory, also allows us to track sustainability performance, which is very important to us. And the InfoGenesis POS solution, with its integration with CardSmith’s meal plan system, helps us streamline efficiency, enhance profitability and deliver a higher level of customer satisfaction.”

Agilysys Eatec is a Microsoft® Windows®-based full-featured inventory, procurement and production system designed specifically for the hospitality and foodservice industries. Along with its core purchasing, inventory, recipe, forecasting, production and sales analysis functions, the software also offers modules for catering, cycle planning, retail management, nutrition and allergens. The modular structure allows customers to construct the exact set of features they need — whether it is an enterprise-wide solution for multiple sites or a single-site system for multiple functions.
