JetBlue today announced it is continuing to boost its transcontinental flight network with a new route and more Mint flights.

First, the airline will add new nonstop flights between Orlando and Los Angeles. Additionally, seats on previously announced Mint flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and San Francisco are now on sale.

“This is a big win for our Florida and California customers who are eager to have more choices when traveling cross country,” said Dave Clark, vice president network planning, JetBlue. “The Sunshine State and the Golden State have been so important to JetBlue’s growth and success, which is why we are so pleased to continue to deliver on our plan to expand on both coasts.”

Orlando and Los Angeles

JetBlue will launch new nonstop service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) starting on January 5, 2017. Roundtrip flights will operate daily and are on sale today with fares starting at $65 one way (a).

The new route will further grow JetBlue’s presence in its Orlando focus city where it is already a top carrier with flights to more than two dozen nonstop destinations. The route also grows the list of destinations JetBlue serves at Los Angeles-LAX. JetBlue will operate up to 17 daily flights at LAX and will now serve each of the airline’s northeast and Florida focus cities with nonstop service from southern California.

JetBlue will operate service between Orlando and Los Angeles using its Airbus A320 aircraft offering the airline’s award-winning service featuring the most legroom in coach (b); free Fly-Fi, the fastest broadband internet in the sky; complimentary and unlimited name-brand snacks and soft drinks; free, live DIRECTV® programming and 100+ channels of SiriusXM® radio at every seat.

Mint in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and San Francisco

Roundtrip flights will operate twice daily and are on sale today with fares starting at $399 one way (c).

As previously announced, Mint flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Los Angeles-LAX will begin March 20, 2017.

Mint aircraft include the longest fully-flat bed seating in the U.S. domestic premium market (d), fully enclosed private suites and a 15-inch flat screen with complimentary entertainment options. Favorite Mint features include a signature cocktail, a tapas-style menu by New York City restaurant Saxon + Parole, fresh espresso from the first purpose-built cappuccino machine for a U.S. airline, amenity kits by Birchbox, and dessert from Blue Marble and Mah-ze-Dahr Bakery.

Since launching in 2014, Mint has become a favorite way for celebrities, technology executives, creatives, and entrepreneurs to travel across the country.
