Rubber ducks have long been a beloved bath toy, and now the world-famous giant 18-meter tall* rubber duck is making its way to Beijing and Taiwan! The rubber duck installation project, entitled “Spreading Joy Around the World,” was created by Dutch Artist Florentijn Hofman, and a somewhat smaller version of this feathered friend delighted crowds in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour earlier this year. In Beijing, the rubber duck will visit the Beijing Garden Expo Park from 6 to 23 September (entrance fee is 100 yuan), and then relocate to Kunming Lake at Summer Palace until 26 October (entrance fee is 30 yuan). In Taiwan, the rubber duck will be a key harbor feature at Kaohsiung’s Glory Pier between 19 September and 20 October, and then make his way to the Taoyuan County harbour between 26 October and 10 November**. For those who are looking for a distinctive place to enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival long weekend, or who are currently planning to visit Beijing or Taiwan, simply download the Hotels.com App to book the best hotel deals in town – and don’t miss this opportunity to see the Rubber Duck again!
