Cvent, a leading cloud-based enterprise event management platform, announced today that the company received two silver Travel Weekly Magellan Awards—one for the Cvent Supplier Network and the other for the Cvent Destination Guide—both in the Online Travel Services category. The Travel Weekly Magellan Awards honor the best in travel products and services.
Revolutionizing the way meetings and events are sourced and booked, the Cvent Supplier Network connects tens of thousands of meeting and event planners with a comprehensive and searchable database of more than 200,000 hotels and event venues worldwide. The supplier network links to Cvent’s Destination Guide, a free, location-specific online directory that features more than 1,000 destinations around the world and provides useful, meeting-specific information to planners.
“Given that meetings and events are such a substantial part of the travel industry, we are honored to be recognized for our service and support,” said Eric Eden, vice president of marketing at Cvent. “It is our driving mission to ensure that both the Cvent Supplier Network and the Destination Guide continue to serve the needs of meeting planners and the travel industry as a whole.”
Cvent was honored in the Online Travel Services category alongside other distinguished brands such as TripAdvisor, Sabre and Rail Europe. The Travel Weekly Magellan Award honors a broad range of travel industry providers such as air and cruise lines, travel destinations, hospitality and travel agencies, tour operators and ground transportation providers.
