The AAA Four-Diamond Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center, located in the picturesque Ozark Mountains overlooking pristine Table Rock Lake in Southwest Missouri, has named Nathan Wood its Director of Sales & Marketing. In his new position he is responsible for overseeing the sales staff and the sales and marketing efforts for the resort. Widely considered one of the finest resorts in the Midwest, the resort features 301 newly renovated guest rooms and suites, 43,500 square feet of meeting space all on one level, and many scenic outdoor venues. The resort is a consistent recipient of the meetings industry’s highest honors, including Successful Meetings magazine’s prestigious “Pinnacle Award,” which it recently captured for the 10th time.

Wood joins Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center from the historic The Westin Columbus in downtown Columbus, Ohio, where he served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for the upscale 188-room hotel. An effective leader with proven results, his extensive experience also includes serving as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Sheraton Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska, where his team consistently exceeded their sales and revenue goals and increased Guest Experience Scores. Prior to that, he served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Sheraton Suites Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri; and as Director of Sales & Marketing for Hampton Inn & Suites Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. For the past year he also was a Member of the Board of Trustees for The Thurber House, a non-profit literary center and museum headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. He is a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA), and was recognized as one of the “2014 People to Know in Hospitality” in Columbus, Ohio by Clark, Schaefer Hackett in its “2014 State of the Industry Hospitality Edition” white paper. Not resting on its many laurels, the resort completed the renovation of its 301 guest rooms and suites, and the renovation of all of its smaller meeting rooms in January 2015. In addition, in January 2015 the resort added a new Executive Board Room with state-of-the-art A/V and technology capabilities, and enhanced all of its meeting space (including its Great Hall ballroom) with new LED lighting, new flex-back banquet chairs, and new “linenless” meeting tables.
