Ireland is known for its long list of tourist destinations including cathedrals, museums, galleries, nature parks and more. One that you should definitely make time for is Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral located in Cork City. Victorian architect William Burges designed this cathedral which was constructed in 1863. It was his first major work. In 1690, the cathedral was destroyed during the Siege of Cork. Renovation commenced in 1735 but most of the original spires were not removed.
