Eklingji Temple: One of the most famous temples in Rajasthan, the Eklingji Temple is dedicated to Shiva and is about 22 km away from Udaipur on NH 8. The family deity of the Mewar dynasty, Eklingji Temple was built in 734 AD. But the temple is as known for its religious faith as it is for its architecture. The temple houses a 50-ft-tall idol of Shiva which is carved from black marble and has four faces. Shivratri festival is celebrated with great pomp at this temple.
