TRU is looking for a talented, result oriented and innovative technology leader to provide the vision and leadership in the development, implementation, and support of e-commerce platform. This person will lead all aspects of technology, including the planning, development, and enhancements to the e-commerce platform in support of business and company initiatives. He or she will be responsible for providing both tactical and strategic leadership to the services team including working with the business in defining the product roadmap and execution strategy.

*DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES*
* You will be responsible for the leading the e-commerce services team for North America with direct control over engineering resources.
* Engage with business leaders, product owners and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translates them into executable solutions.
* Drive the evolution of the ToyRUs ecommerce platform by taking a hands-on lead in design, development, architecture, execution and adoption.
* Partner with Product Leadership and Data Science teams to implement innovative solutions to improve customer experience, improve conversion and contribution.
* Hire, mentor and develop a world-class team of engineers, instilling and fostering a high-performance culture.
* Partner with technology steering committee to ensure adherence to company's standards in design, architecture, security, technology-stack, release management etc.
* Maintain and champion technology and technical product roadmaps that guide development teams and technology investments
* Drives innovation and best practices into the technology team
* Work with global engineering team to translate architecture into detail design and ensure the successful execution of defined initiatives
* Define and support solutions that enable Agile development and Continuous Integration and Delivery build and release processes
* Staff and manage contractors as needed to implement the software architecture for the platform
* Mentor, grow and develop the careers of all direct reports
* Set clear, meaningful, challenging, and attainable goals and expectations that are aligned with company
* Empower employees to make decisions and to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
* Identify the potential in staff and take opportunities to apply and develop that potential

# Qualifications

* Exceptional technologist: goes beyond people and process management to enable key technological choices across the team and beyond. Willing to get into the weeds to drive clarity and resolution.
* Proven technology leadership, time and time again. Superb written and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Deep technical understanding of Service Oriented Architectures leveraging Java and MySQL or Oracle, in a distributed, highly-available, and high-volume transactional systems that are business critical
* Very experienced with and embracing Agile product development
* Must have experience building B2B Web applications and cloud solutions.
* Experience using Cloud infrastructure, DevOPs & Big Data a plus.
* Robust understanding of leading industry technologies a plus.
* Gifted collaborator -- works effectively in multifunctional Agile set-up (with Product Management, User Experience, etc).
* Proven technology leadership, time and time again. Superb written and presentation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* A computer science or related degree is a must.
* Knowledge of Security/Data Protection, Network Management, Systems Management & Monitoring preferred
* Strong communicator with the ability to represent the company and influence program technical objectives with peers across the industry
