Seeing that we are one of the leading Toyota
dealerships in the Manchester area, it should be pretty obvious that we have a
vested interest in the future of hybrid and electric vehicles. Toyota was the
first company to really make a splash in the hybrid market with the release of
the original Toyota
Prius. All these years later, and our favorite Japanese
automaker is still looking to the future and envisioning how green the cars of
tomorrow will actually be.

Recently, a man known as the father of the Toyota
Prius, Takieshi Uchiyamada, made a public address in front of the Economics
Club of Washington D.C. He spoke about his hopes for the future how he would
like to see more investment in hybrid evolution.

In that address, Mr. Uchiyamada, said, "Today
I wish to call on the industry to sell 5 million hybrids in the U.S. by the end
of 2016. It's only when we put ourselves under the same kind of intense
pressure we faced in developing the Prius that we can achieve great goals.
That's what it takes. I want our industry to achieve this goal."1

You may notice that the price of electric and hybrid
vehicles is beginning to drop as the technology needed to produce these
efficient models becomes more established. The new Toyota Prius
Plug-in is already getting a significant price cut for 2014 and we
would love to see more Manchester area drivers stop by our
showroom to test drive one of these great vehicles.

Located at 30 Auto Center Road Manchester,
NH, Ira Toyota of Manchester should be your first
stop in your search for a new car, truck or SUV. We maintain a large selection
of new and used
Toyota models that area drivers are sure to fall in love
with.
