Hello everyone, and welcome to the week! It's time once again for our look back at the noteworthy updates of the last seven days. I'm feeling like Mr. Crabby Tree today, and that's partly because there aren't very many updates for me to show you. I think I've got some good ones, but I'll leave that for you to decide. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself using AppShopper Social [Free], the watchlist in the TouchArcade App [Free], or by participating in the TouchArcade forums, but this weekly summary is here to fill in the things you might have missed. Let's dig in!
MEGA MAN 3 MOBILE, $1.99 Yay, another update for all of the recent Mega Man Mobile ports. It kind of seems like Capcom was trying to fix them with this one, but unfortunately their attempt to do so has ended up much like my attempt at slow dancing with my crush at the Junior High School prom: a failed mission resulting in a lot of physical pain and sorrow. But let me explain. Er, the former, not the latter. The latter will never be spoken of again. They've added a new Turbo Mode to each of the games, which fast-forwards everything to double the speed of the existing Fast Mode. Playing in this mode makes the games almost, but not entirely, unplayable and does nothing to fix the underlying problems with the ports. Um, good effort?

Pokémon GO, Free Pokemon Go got a big update last week, adding a number of Johto Pokemon to the game along with some new items. Niantic also made some improvements to the UI to accommodate all of that, with Poke Balls and Berries now easier to get at quickly when you're trying to catch a Pokemon. There's also a new night-mode map with its own special background music. Other than that, it's a bunch of bug fixes and tweaks, but it seems to have been enough to get a lot of people out there hunting again.
Galaga Wars, Free As an old fan of Galaga, I can't say I like this one a whole lot beyond the cute fan service bits. But I know lots of people who do like it, so it's nice for them that Namco seems interested in adding new content to the game. The latest update brings a new enemy type called the Maple which you can kill to score some credits. You can then use those credits, once you've gotten a pile of them anyway, to buy the new Pac-Man ship that was also added in this update. Pac-Man comes with four new abilities, but he also changes the appearances of the enemies and stage backgrounds. Waka-waka!
Rick and Morty: Pocket Mortys, Free How many Mortys can Pocket Mortys add before we get a third season of Rick and Morty? Well, I don't know, but there are six brand-new Mortys to collect in this latest version of the Pokemon-inspired Morty Battling Simulation. This version also kindly nudges you about healing before you enter a portal, and gives you some of those fancy iMessage stickers that all the kids are on about right now.
The Sandbox Evolution - Craft a 2D Pixel Universe, Free I'm not sure why we're up to our elbows in Pac-Man stuff in the last few days, but let's eat it up while we can, friends. The Sandbox Evolution has played host to some licensed content already, but unless I miss my guess, this is the first game cross-over it has received. Buy this IAP and you'll be able to add all kinds of Pac-Man stuff to your Sandbox, including Pac-Man, the ghosts (complete with their own personalities), pellets, mazes, power pellets, and even teleporters so that you can do that dealie where Pac-Man goes off one side of the screen and pops up on the other like some kind of freaking wizard. Oh, and fruit, of course. Guy can't live on ghosts alone. Putting Pac-Man in a Sandbox so I can Pac-Man while I Sandbox is worthy of this week's coveted Update Mondays Most Spider-Mans of the Week award. After all, hyphenated heroes need to stick together.
Burrito Bison: Launcha Libre, Free Burrito Bison is so very stupidly fun. On one level, I know there's practically nothing to it. On another level, it is a muscular bison-themed luchador smashing evil gummi bears and generally wreaking savage havoc wherever his under-sized butt lands. I just can't hate anything that beautiful. This update adds some missions to work on during the aforementioned havoc, along with the ability to start over with some extra perks. There's a new character, a new secret shop, five new achievements, and iCloud support. Alright, you kids have fun now.
Craft The World - Pocket Edition, $4.99 Here's another open world building game featuring an old dude with a white beard, but I assure you, there is no Pac-Man to be found in this update. Instead, this new version focuses on dwarves more than anything else. Better models, increased speed, improved AI, and more await the hard-working little fellows. This update also adds IAPs for a new expansion called Sisters in Arms and some new biomes. It also appears to be on sale, so do what you must, oh steadfast reader.
Respawnables, Free Okay, this might seem like an unlikely place for a Carnival celebration, but here we are. You can enjoy four parades, each with a special mask and a special gun that you can use to earn a perhaps-special reward. You can also buy some costumes, including ones that make you look like an outlaw, a Brazilian warrior, a vampire, and the Atomdrome. So as strange as it may be to make a party out of all of this, I'm sure fans of Respawnables will have a great time just the same.

Ninja Fishing, Free Still a blatant clone of Ridiculous Fishing. Still getting semi-frequent updates while that game languishes on the wings of false promises. Still a game that tries to shake you down for your last penny. Ninja Fishing is many things to many people. Today, it is a game that got updated in the last week. There's a new island called Sushi Shrine where, if you pass the rigorous challenge it sets forth, you can earn a bunch of gold. There are some new treasures to collect for the pixel boat. Many bugs have been fixed, and the Valentine's Day event returned. Go ninja go?
MARVEL Future Fight, Free Okay, so don't get me wrong as I like many stories the characters have appeared in, but I don't think I've ever seen Marvel try so hard to jam something down everyone's throat the way they have with the Inhumans. They had their place in the Marvel Universe, and say what you will, replacing the X-Men wasn't ever going to happen. Oh well. I'm sure someone out there just loves them, and if that's you, here you go. Karnak, Gorgon, Inferno, Crystal, and Maximus the Mad make their debut, along with the awesome (and technically Inhuman) Moon Girl. Dormammu isn't an Inhuman, but he jumps in on this update as well. You also get three new uniforms, including Black Bolt's stylish club-owner apparel. There's a new special mission, and some improvements in the UI and the alliance system. Anyway, enjoy the Inhumans, coming (and going) soon to a theater near you this fall.
That about wraps it up for last week's significant updates. I'm sure I've missed some, though, so please feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely get their own news stories throughout this week, and I'll be back next Monday to summarize and fill in the blanks. Have a great week!
