Real Green Systems, which began as a lawn-care company in the mid-1980s and morphed into a business software provider specializing in the landscaping industry, recently released “Real Green Payment Processing.”

The new integrated software enables the company’s clients, which now include a variety of service businesses in addition to landscape contractors, collect secure online credit card payments.

The payment processing capability is provided through Advanced Bancard Solutions (ABS) and complies with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standard, according to Real Green Systems.

The online payment app can be fully integrated with Real Green Systems’ flagship “Service Assistant” software as well as “Customer Assistant Website” (CAW), the company’s client-portal solution.

Landscape contractors’ customers access their account profiles, billing, balances and payments through the CAW portal. Now, with the Payment Processing app, those customers not only can submit secure payments online but also will be notified automatically if their account is past due, according to Real Green Systems.

The company says the addition of payment processing will fuel increases in online service purchases as well as pre-payment for services while reducing inbound billing and account-maintenance calls.

“In our digital, self-serve culture, consumers want more control, availability and options to make payments,” said Kellie Kucik of Real Green Systems. “It is our hope that business clients take full advantage of their customer portal and add the new app to satisfy consumer desire.”

While most of its customers offer lawn care, pest control and other landscaping services, Real Green Systems says it now serves numerous HVAC, waste-water management and real estate companies. In addition to marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities, the company’s software applications equip its clients with mobile technology, computerized measurement, routing, scheduling, global positioning and in-field estimating/routing/scheduling tools.
