As time goes on, It has come to my attention that my electronics need more and more accessories.
I never thought how many, what’s useful to just because it’s pretty.
But looking up from the keyboard, it is looking like a big furry blanket, but in plastic and steel.
I find laptops are not so lappy, with the stuff you need for it, from transparent cover that you can leave on during use saves so much work in cleaning and as I type with my nails I don’t slip off a key… To Cooling Stations that tilt and have drawers to keep even more stuff for them handy and ready.
Then you have Surge Protectors, Mobile Surge Protectors, Back up power units to hold power in case your battery runs low.
Mobile Power Chargers to back up cords it gets so deep I have had to call for help!
It helps to chat with others, see what they have through trial an error. The new power outlet strips alone I want to go home and hide.
A simple list would be nice, One where simply put if you like protection and ease of use here is what areas to have to keep your toys happy.
Heck the title is not even easy.
Maybe a list.
1. Surge Protectors, your toys cost $___ a 50 dollar power back-up/surge protector is better to let take a hit and let you shut down right during an outage. I became a tripp-lite slave
2. Cables, I really hate this area. A 2 dollar cord can cripple ya, So back-up cables are needed, what ones well still learning each time I go down.
3. Outlets, we never have enough, so strips are the only way to go, but this area is huge, bendable, Bench/Cabinet Power Strips, Power Strips but what type it’s a vast area.
4. Extra ports, yeah, only use so many… in one ear out to externals galore, so you need a plug-in milti port make sure you have the right 3.0 point even more to do, but it has to have own power not leach off comp.
5. Externals, not really in this list of basic needs, but it has to be on your mind regular drives in fan case, the biggest issue is heat so the expense of the case with fan is a must.
To me this is just what areas I find I need to keep up and look into as happy toys are a good thing.
What areas have I missed? What ideas do others have? All an ongoing list but a basic need one.
I will not go into pretty, special drives that light up, are cool shapes but block other ports…
