December was a big month for the WordPress world: we got a new version of WordPress, updated WordPress.com, and a new Twenty Sixteen default theme, which I have omitted from this roundup, though you can find a detailed review of it here.

It was also a big month for themes, and I have found the best free ones. Let’s take a look.

Willow

Willow is a simple child theme of Twenty Sixteen, with the major stylistic change being that it showcases content in a single column layout, rather than two columns.
