These cute little faces add another dimension to the script and complement the story with their cute gullible touches. There was a time when sizable part of the movie goers’ crowd expected directors to accommodate a role for a child artist in the movie – the frequency of such roles have dwindled lately but not wiped out completely. Here is a list of top 10 popular child actors in Bollywood.

10. Darsheel Safarey:

It was in the year 2007 that Darsheel Safarey made his Bollywood debut in a movie named ‘Taare Zameen Par’. He was showered with plenteous accolades for the enactment of a role of an autistic child with great level of commitment and nimbleness. Since then, he has been showcased in a different light from other Bollywood child actors for the amount of resourcefulness in his acting skills. 9. Parzan Dastur:

More famous as ‘Bablu’ from Dhara oil ad, Parzan Dastur has graced many movies with his credulous existence and recital. Most famous for her child role in Raj Kapoor’s ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ (1977), Padmini Kolhapure is regarded as one of the best child artists, courtesy her sheer acting skills, best of the breed Indian movie industry has ever seen. She is still celebrated for her performance in the 1980 released ‘Gehrayee’ where she played the role of a black magic inflicted girl.

Vishal Desai who was popularly known as ‘Master Bittu’ played many roles as a child star in the movies. Raju Shreshtha is still distinctively known as Master Raju (the word master was credited with his name for the child stars of Bollywood) despite him having entered the 47th year of his life. Such was the charm of this cute little boy of yesteryears that his presence was almost binding in every movie of the era.
