But damn, FAST sure is seductive, isn’t it?
All the push-button pushers and “done-for-you” dealers know it is. They’ve gotten extremely good at playing on this love affair we have with speed. Go to Clickbank and search for the products with the highest gravities. Watch their sales videos. You’ll see what I mean.
I’m a smart cookie who knows better, and even I still contemplate buying this bullcrap from time to time!
I mean, these guys are freakin’ good!
Anyway, just felt like ranting a bit.
But here’s the thing…
I recently found myself very seriously contemplating this subject. And I came to the realization that maybe I’ve been letting my own skepticism get the better of me.
Perhaps I’ve unjustly started equating being “fast” with being “bad.”
Now how silly is that?
It’s damn silly, especially when you consider that I actually make fast cash online! Lots of it. All the time. 
Now, I don’t do this with any type of push-button system. And I certainly don’t do it with DFY websites or autoblogs that hundreds of other chumps have gotten their cursed little mitts on…
But I do make fast cash online nonetheless.
How about $863 in 24 hours? Yep, I’ve done it! And it only took me 9 minutes’ worth of work! Or $499 in the same period of time… for the same tiny amount of effort. Again, I do this sorta thing all the time.
Oh, and guess how much I generally spend to advertise the products that make me this money. Somewhere right between a dollar and a negative dollar. Yup, zero.
And would you like to hazard a guess how I’m able to do it… really? Now I’m just patronizing you, ain’t I? I’m sure the answer is obvious. But just in case you don’t know, here’s how I do it…

Email Marketing! List Building!

“Great Lee. This may be a fast way to make money once you’ve built your list. But that’s only if you know how to write great emails… and only if you’ve established a real relationship with your list. I haven’t done that, don’t know if I can do that, and don’t even know if I wanna try doing that.”

Is There An Easier Way to Make FAST Money From List Building?

Well, yeah.
There is.
It’s called the “churn and burn” model.
You may have heard of it. It’s super fast, crazy easy, and requires no customer support or relationship building of any kind. It’s just boom, boom, boom… money, money, money!
There are really two main “churn and burn” methods, which I’ll be happy to share with you right here and now…

Churn and Burn Method #1 – Offer Blasting

With this approach, the marketer will generally get people on his or her IM niche list by giving away a free report loaded with affiliate links. They’ll then put this report on a download page, which has also been loaded with affiliate offers.
The basic process is as follows…
1. Give away a monetized report on a monetized download page.
2. Drive traffic to your squeeze page using solo ads.
3. Blast out daily affiliate offers to your list.
4. Use a portion of your profits to buy more solo ads.
This can grow your list very quickly, provided people are taking advantage of your affiliate offers. Obviously, this will require you to write a new promotional email every day. This can be both tiring and expensive, because any ethical marketer will actually buy and personally review the products they’re promoting.

Churn and Burn Method #2 – Ad Swapping

This is a bit different as it relies very heavily upon the affiliate links in your report and download page to earn your living. Basically, you just try to get as many eyeballs as possible focused on that front end offer. You don’t actually try to monetize the emails at all.
It looks something like this…
1. Give away a monetized report on a monetized download page.
2. Run ad swaps 1-2 times per day.
3. Grow your list as large as possible, as quickly as possible.
4. Keep collecting those front end profits.
This can be a great way to build your list for free (once you’ve already built it up to “swap-worthy” status, anyway). But there’s no question it comes with its own inherent set of challenges.
For starters, your freebie had better be the damn bee’s knees. It needs to be great, and really capable of converting its readers into buyers. Obviously, the same is true of your download page. You need great, compelling affiliate links that get clicked on… and acted upon.
You also need to have a pretty thick skin, as unsubscribes and complaints will not be in short supply. This is not necessarily the business model for someone who’s trying to develop an incredible reputation. It’s just a fast money strategy.

So what’s the answer then?

It would seem that neither of these “churn and burn” methods are particularly ideal, wouldn’t it? I mean, they’re fast. But are they really sustainable? Are they leveraged? Will they help you to grow a business that you’re proud to call your own? These are good questions. You should try to answer them honestly.
I would assert that the correct answer is “probably not.”
They’re missing too many of the goodies that can make Internet marketing such a joy (and it really can be). These missing elements include:
Real user engagement
Long-term, leveraged success
A business that keeps growing even if you stop working
An actual product line that you can profit from
Branding (important, powerful stuff)
At the end of the day, this can all be summed up in a single word… leverage.
Leverage is what keeps your business fresh and alive, even when you decide to go on vacation for a week or two. It’s what keeps your business building itself. It’s what continues to suck in the cash long after you’ve stopped operating the damn vacuum!
