The drought is over and MMA returns tonight from the Sheraton Hotel in Red Deer, Alberta with Havoc FC 6. In the Main Event YoutTube sensation Wolfgang Janssen takes on Luis Huete in a Featherweight Matchup. The bout was appointed as the #2 Maple Leaf Matchup of the month and could have ranking implications in the next update.

Luis Huete vs. Wolfgang Janssen
Round 1: Huete refuses the glove touch and they trade rights. Janssen lands the leg kick and follows up with another. Huete falls short with a front kick and glances a head kick. Janssen misses a spinning back kick and Huete lands a pair of rights. Both men trying to find the distance and Huete counters a kick to the body with a vicious right hook that knocks Janssen out. Huete follows up with a couple more before referee Brian Beauchamp is able to get in to stop the onslaught.

*Post fight Havoc FC offers Luis Huete a title shot against Hakeem Dawodu at Havoc FC 7 but Huete says he wants someone in the Top 5 and that Dawodu does not deserve a title shot yet.

Devon Neis vs. Nick Campbell
Round 1: Neis opens with a wild flurry and Campbell responds in kind. Nies is already bloodied and they continue to slug it out. Neis ties up and lands more solid shots and referee Andy Social calls the doctor in to check on the cut. The doctor allows the fight to go on and they restart. Campbell lands a bog shot and Neis fires knee and body shots. Campbell lands a knee to the midsection and connects with a stiff shot. Big knee from Campbell lands and he follows up with a knee to the liver that drops Neis and forces referee Andy Social to step in and rescue Neis from any unnecessary punishment.

Mike Davis vs. Jesse Arnett
Round 1: Davis glances a head kick and Arnett responds with a combo. Davis lands a side kick to keep him at bay and Arnett connects with a solid kick to the body. Arnett lands solid shots against the cage and ties him up. Davis lands a knee to the body and fights his way out of the corner but Arnett leads him right back there. They tie up again and Davis lands a knee in the clinch. Arnett muscles him to the mat and lands but Davis is able to get back to his feet where they exchange shots in the clinch. Arnett breaks away and unleashes a barrage of punches and elbows before tying up again. Arnett fires off more elbows and Davis covers up. Arnett looks for a guillotine choke but Davis weathers the storm and Arnett gets the single to guard. Round 2: They trade shots with bad intentions in the corner until Arnett gets the takedown to full guard. Arnett works the can opener to no avail and connects with a couple shots. Arnett connects with an elbow and Davis tries to bring his legs up for an armbar but Arnett defends. Arnett postures and Davis is on all fours eating shots. Arnett working ti take the back and lands more punches. Arnett is warned to watch the shots to the back of the head and Davis gets back up briefly. Arnett picks him up and carries him to the other side of the cage and ends up in guard. Davis locks on an armbar but cant get extension and loses it. Round 3: Davis lands a head kick but Arnett looks for the takedown to side control and chips away with a couple little elbows. Davis replaces his full guard but Arnett lands shots before Davis throws his legs up looking for a triangle. Arnett is again looking for the can opener but doing little else until he begins to land more punches and works the body. Davis lands a few shots from the bottom and Arnett continues to chip away with little shots. Arnett postures up and connects with another barrage of rights as time runs out. Austin Ryan vs. Bojan Kladnjakovic
Round 1: Bojan looks to land and falls short with a pair of head kicks. Bojan gets the takedown but Ryan pops back up and they jockey for position against the cage. Bojan looks to drag him down but can’t get him off his feet. They continue to work for position and Bojan gets him down briefly but Ryan immediately pops back up. The taller Ryan brings a knee up and it lands before breaking away and landing a flurry. Ryan presses him into the cage and looks to stomp the feet. They separate and Bojan lands a solid body kick before Ryan gets the takedown to half guard. Ryan looks for a guillotine choke but Bojan is able to work back to his feet and get a takedown of his own to full guard. Bojan stands and kicks the legs and allows Ryan back to his feet. Round 2: Bojan opens with aleg kick and Ryan lands aright and Bojan slips to the mat. Ryan pounces and lands a flurry of rights before ending up in half guard. Ryan works to take the back but Bojan gets to his feet and Ryan connects with a couple leg kicks. Bojan misses an overhand right and Ryan capitalizes with a stiff right. Ryan ties him up against the cage and gets to side control. Bojan is down only briefly and pops back up only to get taken back down to side control. Ryan lands several elbows and thinks about a kimura but elects to stay with the elbows. Ryan elbows to the stomach and locks in a inverted triangle and drives several vicious elbows into the head of Bojan forcing Referee Andy Social to call a halt to the contest. Bojan immediately protests the stoppage.

Brent Keryluke vs. Jemark Brady
Round 1: Brady shoots in for a takedown but gets caught in a guillotine. Brady presses him into the cage and looks to be out of danger while he works for the double. Brady knees the thigh and Keryluke lands a couple lefts before taking the back and dragging him down. Keryluke keeps the position and lands a few rights before sinking the rear naked choke and forcing the tap.

Chris Chapman vs. Scott Hudson
Round 1: Chapman just misses a head kick right off the hop and Hudson responds with a solid right. Chapman connects with a stiff right and they tie up against the cage. Hudson knees the thigh and Chapman responds with one to the mid section. They continue to jockey for position and Hudson drops and gets the big double and lands some rights. Hudson stands and kicks the legs and Chapman pops back up. They tie up again and trade knees to the legs. Hudson continues to knee the thighs. Chapman gets separation and lands, just misses a head kick and Hudson with a leg kick. They both trade hard rights and Hudson presses him into the cage and gets the takedown to guard. Chapman looks for the sweep but can’t quite get it. Chapman looks to land elbows from the bottom and Hudson lands a right and stands up to kick the legs as time runs out. Round 2: Both man pumping the jabs and big front kick lands from Chapman. Hudson presses him into the cage and Chapman reverses and backs away. Big right elbow lands for Chapman and the tie up. Hudson reverses and lands knees to the thigh. Referee separates them and Hudson with a teep to the midsection and a right. Chapman lands a leg kick and follows up with a right and a left. Hudson ties him up again and lands more knees to the thigh. Chapman breaks away and lands before connecting with a head kick and a flurry. Hudson again ties him up and gets the double leg to full guard. Chapman fires a couple elbows from the bottom and again. Round 3: Chapman calls for noise from the crowd and they oblige. Chapman with leg kick and a right followed by a front kick that knocks the mouth guard out. Hudson grabs ahold of him and gets another takedown to guard. Chapman works elbows from the bottom while Hudson works the body. Hudson stands and Chapman lands an upkick the prompts Hudson to drop back into the guard. Chapman briefly attempts an armbar but Hudson pulls out. Chapman is doing well to negate the top game of Hudson and pops back to his feet. Hudson with another takedown and Chapman tries for a guillotine but loses it and Hudson stands and lands before dropping a big right and following up with more shots. Round 1: Lafantaisie throws a big right that’s blocked and they exchange leg kicks. Lafantaisie connects with a solid uppercut and Smyth responds with one of his own. Smyth presses forwards with a combo and Lafantaisie lands a leg kick and a flurry. Big shot lands from Smyth and Lafantaisie connects with a combo. Both men throwing and landing solid punches. They trade leg kicks and superman punches before Smyh gets the big takedown. Lafantaisie gets back to his feet and Smyth works for another double. Round 2: Lafantaisie unleashes a big barrage of punches and Smyth looks for the takedown but Lafantaisie gets the guard and lands huge shots. Lafantaisie stands and drops down a flurry of hard rights that force referee Brian Beauchamp to step in and call a halt to the bout.  Lafantaisie says he’s going pro following this victory

Blaine Cust vs. Ronnie Oar
Round 1: The two trade wild shots and they tie up. They separate and Oar throws some weak shots and Cust responds. Cust looks for the single and gets the takedown looking for a guillotine. Cust takes the back and works for a rear naked choke. Oar is defending and Cust continues to work for the choke. Cust releases and gets to full mount and falls back for the armbar but can’t get it and moves back to mount before trying again in the final seconds. Top MMA News scores round 10-9 Cust

Round 2: The two exchange wild shots to open the round and Oar lands a leg kick. Cust responds with one of his own and they exchange shots in close. Cust opens a cut over the left eye with a stiff shot and gets the double leg takedown to side control. Cust moves to full mount and works for the kimura before switching to the armbar. Oar is able to muscle out and lands a punch to the head on the ground which is not allowed in amateur and a point is deducted from Oar. Round 3: Prior to the start of the round referee Adam Cheadle calls the doctor to check on the cut and the round can begin. They trade more wild shots and Cust works for the double landing in full mount. Cust works the body and sinks in an arm triangle. Oar holds on briefly but is forced to tap.
