Haverford school took over the No. 1 spot in the Mid-Atlantic Rankings after an overtime win over No. 4 McDonogh School and an 18-11 triumph over No. 5 St. Paul’s.

Boys
1. Haverford School (PA) 2-0

The Fords were supposed to host Hill Academy Saturday, but were forced to cancel their game due to poor weather conditions in the Philadelphia area. They have two MIAA opponents in Loyola Blakefield (today) and Gilman this week.

2. Landon (MD) 5-0

The Bears did not have any problems with Paul VI, John Carroll, or Calverton this week. They have three games in three days this week against Timon St. Jude, McCallie School, and Bishop O’Connell.

3. Chaminade (NY) 0-0

The Flyers had a meeting with Ward Melville Saturday, but that was also postponed due to weather. They start their season Wednesday with a huge game against Massapequa before traveling to play West Islip Saturday.

4. McDonogh (MD) 3-1

The Eagles are coming off of an impressive 13-11 win over Gonzaga. They have two more huge games this week as they take on Culver Academy on Thursday and Episcopal Academy Saturday in the PNC Lacrosse Invitational.

5. Episcopal Academy (PA) 1-0

The Churchmen skyrocket to No. 5 after an stunning victory over Culver Academy 8-7 Saturday. They host St. Joseph’s Prep and Downingtown East this week before playing McDonogh Saturday in the PNC Lacrosse Invitational.

6. Gonzaga (DC) 5-1

The Purple Eagles squeaked by Hill Academy in OT and handled Bishop Ireton last week before losing 13-11 to McDonogh. They look to rebound against Culver Academy and Our Lady of Good Counsel.

7. Massapequa (NY) 1-0

The Chiefs defeated Carey last week 15-5. They travel to take on Chaminade in a big battle in New York Wednesday and then Hicksville on Friday.

8. St. Anthony’s (NY) 0-0

The Friars start their season March 31 against Holy Trinity.

9. Calvert Hall (MD) 4-1

The Cardinals were humbled by Hill Academy 17-4 but rebounded against Loyola Academy with an 18-0 showing. They travel to take on Calverton and also face Port Washington this week.

10. Boys’ Latin (MD) 4-1

The Lakers got past Lovett and Manhasset this week to get back into the Mid-Atlantic Top 10. They travel to take on Bullis Tuesday and Radnor Saturday at Unionville (PA).
