International Tourney

Team Stars and Stripes vs. Team Maple Leafs, which is expected to expand to include Team Shamrocks (Ireland) and Team Gladiators (Italy) will take place in select venues throughout Eastern USA. After teams are selected, the teams will compete on July 27-28th in an international competition in upstate New York.

Summer Showcases (team and individual)

The National 175 Southeastern Showcase, in Atlanta, 2018 and 2019 players on Tuesday, May 26; 2016 and 2017 players on Wednesday, MAY 27. Players may register here for invite-only process. The Southeast is growing the sport in quantity and quality, and college coaches want to see the best in the Southeast. With this in mind, the National 175 will be considering players from all clubs and schools throughout the Southeast for this invite-only event.

2nd Annual Platinum Prospects West Coast Lacrosse Showcase, in the San Francisco Bay Area (at Sonoma State University), June 6. This is a premier recruiting event for 2016-2019 boys’ lacrosse players with college coaches on hand from every division. Registration includes a $200 ConnectLAX video package includes HD game film, highlight video and mobile recruiting profile. 2nd Annual Garden State Showcase, Sunday, June 7th, at Central Park Morris, Morris Plains, NJ. From the directors of Patriot Lacrosse and Leading Edge Lacrosse, the Jersey Shootout offers a unique competitive advantage for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors, providing exposure earlier than ever before. Over 40 college coaches were in attendance in 2014. The Garden State Showcase is an opportunity for elite players in each of the graduating classes of 2016, 2017 and 2018 to display their talents in a most competitive environment. The Showcase is limited to eighty (80) players per grade to maximize exposure. The format is a three game round robin. Each team will be coached by a current college coach. Player profile books will be available to coaches throughout the Showcase and GameTime Footage will be on site to film all of the games. National 175 Summer Showcase, July 17-19th, 2015 (dates recently changed), at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Troy, NY. This is a premier lacrosse recruiting showcase that provides the platform for the most talented players to showcase their abilities in front of college lacrosse coaches seeking to recruit players from all over the lacrosse community. Face-Off championships

The I-95 Cup , the ultimate challenge to see which AREA of the country has the most talented face-off midfielders. The top 10 players from Philly, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland/Virginia will meet Aug. 16 in Philadelphia’s Maple Zone Sports Institute in Garnet Valley for a 1-day tournament. The Face-Off Academy’s Greg Gurenlian, Chris Mattes, and Jerry Ragonese are constantly traveling the country working with face-off athletes. When they are not on the road, all three have set up training combines where they live. Greg Gurenlian runs a daily face-off combine in New York City, Chris Mattes runs his in Maryland, and Jerry in New Jersey. All three FOA coaches will represent and coach their respective AREAS at the I-95 Cup.

The Philadelphia team will be chosen by Philly Face-Off League co-founders John Bodnar and Mike Dolente. Both highly respected face-off coaches in the area, the Philly Face-Off League is where the most elite face-off midfielders in the Greater Philly area can practice and train together on a weekly basis.

Each area will host a tryout on a specific date. (See list at bottom with links to registration)

All New York players will tryout with Greg Gurenlian at his FOA NYC location on July 30 at Randalls Island Field 72.

All Pennsylvania players will tryout with John Bodnar and Mike Dolente at their PFL location, at at Mainline Sports Center, Berwyn.

All Maryland players will tryout with Chris Mattes at his Maryland FOA location at JDyer Sports & Conditioning in Cockeysville.

The 2015 National Lacrosse Invitational is accepting registrations from high school teams from across the country for its inaugural tourney on June 20-21 at Ward Melville (N.Y). The Coaching Staffs from Long Island powers Ward Melville, Smithtown East and Smithtown West will host the event. Only 30 teams will be selected to participate in this invitation only, geographically diverse, exclusive event. Teams will compete in a minimum of six games with an overall tournament champion being crowned on Sunday afternoon. The 13th Annual Evolution Games, June 27-28, is a high school , all-star Recruiting & youth tournament taking place in Downingtown, PA. Teams come from across North America: New Jersey, Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, California, Delaware, Ohio, Utah and Connecticut. Over 50 colleges coaches come out for this weekend to scout some of the talented players in the country. This is the best time to attend a tournament since college coaches use this time period more than any other. The 2016 through 2023 grad years will play 3 games on Saturday in a Pool Play format and re-seed for 2 playoff games on Sunday. Midwest Summerfest, at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, WI on July 18-19. The Midwest Summerfest will be the newest addition to Victory Event Series slate of elite summer lacrosse tournaments. The event will cater to both high school and youth club teams, with a total of seven different divisions. This tournament gives lacrosse players of all ages a chance to enjoy the game in a new and exciting way. Games are 5v5, 4 field players plus a goalie, with a maximum of 10 players per team. Each game will have two 18-minute halves with a 4-minute break. Each team will play a minimum of 3 games. Divisions will run from Boy’s & Girl’s U8 – U18, Men’s & Women’s Open. Beach Lacrosse is played with NO SHOES (except goalies).

Wristbands are valid for access to Raging Waters Waterpark and Ocean Oasis Waterpark and Beach Club, plus the amusement rides on all 3 Amusement Piers (daily wristband restrictions apply: go carts, SkyScraper, SkyCoaster, Climbing wall, Screamin’ Swing, High Flyer and Springshot are not included) all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday during operating hours. 8th Annual Patriot Games, July 18-19, by Heritage Lacrosse, at three sites in beautiful Bucks County, PA, featuring 22 fields in total. The Patriot Games Lacrosse Showcase is a popular boys’ lacrosse tournament held every July at venues in the heart of beautiful and historic Bucks County, Pennsylvania – a convenient forum at the crossroads of major lacrosse hotbeds, including Maryland, New England, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The event attracts the top club teams looking to test themselves against a diverse field of elite programs from other regions and to punctuate their summer travel season with a grand finale. The event features teams from traditional hotbeds on the East Coast as well as talented contingents from Canada and emerging regions of the country, including California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and Washington. Past events have also included “Bridge” programs from Baltimore and Philadelphia. The Patriot Games has been selected by NDP Lacrosse as an “Approved Qualifying Event” for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions, which will take place outside of Tampa in January 2015. Top finishing teams in selected divisions will earn bids to join other top club teams from around the nation to compete in the high profile, national championship event. The brackets and divisions are organized by graduation year (i.e. 2015 – 2023 will have AA & A Divisions). Teams in each age group will be also recognized for sportsmanship based largely on sportsmanship scorecards kept by certified officials and site marshals after each game, taking into account the spirit of the game and conduct on both sides of the field, including spectators. Middle school/Youth tournaments

Liberty Lacrosse Shootout,, by Heritage Lacrosse, June 6/7 at the GCVSA Line Road Complex and The Phelps School in Malvern. Over 100 boys’ recreational and club teams and 2500 youth players are expected to participate in one of most popular events of the season. The Shootout is a fun way to punctuate the recreation season. This year, travel clubs are invited to start their 2015 summer campaigns at the Shootout too (club brackets will be organized by graduation year). Your teams are invited to join in the fun, the tradition, and an atmosphere in which the pressure of competition is never more than the pleasure of competition. American Revolution Middle School Invitational, July 13-14, at Maple Zone Sports Institute’s new outdoor complex in Aston, PA, 20 minutes outside downtown Philly and 10 minutes from Philly airport; limited to 10 clubs in 3 age divisions, 22 minute running games with 5 minute halftime, each age group playing one game at a time, intimate environment for coaches, athletes, and parents, all games played on synthetic turf fields, games will be professionally filmed and made available for purchase, five game guarantee. Teams will play three pool games Monday and two seeded games Tuesday with the possibility of playing in a championship game.
