IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection  is an autonomous agency and its located in India. Its operation was started in 1975 as Personnel Selection Service (PSS). In 1984, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Service became an independent entity at the best of RBI (Reserve Bank of India) and Public Sector Banks. In 2011, IBPS was announced the Common Written Examination (CWE) for the selections of Clerks and Officer in Indian Banks.

IBPS conducts the written examination and interview for the candidates to select the Officers and clerk in 20 public sectors. IBPS conduct the Common Written Examination for 20 public sector and Regional Rural banks. CWE has objective type questions and negative marks for each wrong answer. Initially CWE examination was conducted only in offline mode. After 2012 CWE examination conducts through online mode also. After finishing the CWE examination, IBPS conducts the interview for selected candidates.

IBPS Recruitment Notification
IBPS conducts the CWE examination for and select the through three stages. First IBPS conducts Common Written Test (CWE). Then IBPS conducts the Interview for selected candidates. Finally placement for selected candidates based on the score. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts the CWE examination for various posts like Probationary Officers or Management Trainees (CWE PO/MT), Clerical Assistants (CWE Clerk), IT, LAW, Engineering, marketing and other professionals (CWE Specialist Officer), Officers and Office Assistant to regional rural banks governed by NABARD (CWE RRB Officers and Assistants).

IBPS Exam Pattern
It has three stages of test. First test is written test. IBPS conducts the Common Written Test for all candidates. Second test is personnel interview. Finally selected candidates are placed in the jobs.

IBPS Syllabus 2014

IBPS Clerk Exam Syllabus 2014
IBPS clerk examination has objective questions. Clerk exam has 200 questions. First 40 questions are based on reasoning, next 40 questions are based English language, next 40 questions are based on numerical ability, next 40 questions are based on general awareness with special reference to the banking industry and next 40 questions are based on computer knowledge. Each question has 1 mark. Totally IBPS clerk exam has 200 marks. Duration for this exam is 120 minutes.

Probationary Officer IBPS PO Syllabus
IBPS PO examination is a written test. In this examination, first 50 questions are based on reasoning questions, next 40 questions are based on English language, next 50 questions are based on quantitative aptitude, next 40 questions are based on general awareness and next 20 questions are based on computer knowledge. Totally IBPS PO exam has 200 questions. Each question carries 1 mark. Total marks for IBPS PO exam is 200 marks. Duration for this exam is 2 hours

IBPS IT Officer Syllabus 2014

Syllabus for Law Officer (Scale I & II), Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I)
This exam has objective questions. It has 200 questions and 200 marks. Duration for this examination is 2 hours. In this examination, first 50 questions are based on reasoning, next 50 questions are based on English language, next 50 questions are based on general awareness and next 50 questions are based on professional knowledge.

Syllabus for IT Officer (Scale I & II), Agriculture field officer (Scale I), Technical Officer (Scale I), HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I), Marketing Officer (Scale I)
This exam has objective questions. It has 200 questions and 200 marks. Duration for this examination is 2 hours. In this examination, first 50 questions are based on reasoning, next 50 questions are based on English language, next 50 questions are based on Quantitative aptitude and next 50 questions are based on professional knowledge.

IBPS Syllabus for Office Assistant post
It also has 200 questions and 200 marks. Durations for this examination are 2 hours. These questions are based on reasoning, numerical ability, general awareness, English/Hindi language and computer knowledge

IBPS Eligibility Criteria 2014
Age limit for this examination is various based on the recruitment post. Age relaxation is applicable as per the government rules. Educational qualification is also various based on the recruitment. In most of the recruitment educational qualification is any degree. In some of the recruitment post educational qualification is Law, Accounting, Agriculture, IT or Management sector

IBPS Online Application Form
Candidate should apply for this IBPS Examination through online mode only. Candidate log on the official website of IBPS online which is www.ibps.in/html/cwe_rrb_III.htm and select the respective recruitment. Then enter your details and submit your IBPS online application form. Application fee is INR 100/- for SC, ST and PWD candidates. Application fee is INR 600/- for other candidates. Application fee is payable through online mode or offline. In the case of online mode application fee is payable through net banking. In case of offline mode application fee is payable through DD or Bank.

IBPS Admit card
IBPS conducts the various examinations based on the need recruitment post. IBPS release the admit card/hall ticket for all the examination conducted by CWE. The IBPS release the admit card before 15 days from the date of examination. The admit card will be released in the official website of IBPS. Candidate should download their admit card before the examination. The admit card has candidates name, exam time and date, seat number, exam venue, hall ticket number, etc. admit card is the identity to enter your examination hall.

Answer key
After finishing the examination Answer key will be released in the official website of IBPS. The answer key will be released in the separate sets like set a, set B.
