Day 1and 2;

The private Ol Pejeta Conservancy host all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts of the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Day 3, 4, and 5;

Optional visits to the local villages; the vibrant Samburu and Masai tribes which are closely related in terms of language and traditions.

Observe animals endemic to the North of Kenya in Samburu National Reserve such as grevy’s zebra with huge fury ears, the long-necked gerenuk antelope, Somali ostrich with distinct blue legs and the shy oryx.

Day 6;

Pelicans and rhinoceros in Lake Nakuru National Park

Day 7, 8, and 9;

The spectacle of the wildebeest migration in July to September in Mara Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 10;

Lunch the Carnivore is the ultimate ‘Beast of a Feast’ A variety of  meat including ostrich, crocodile and camel, is roasted over charcoal and carved at your table. Delicious side dishes and an exceptional array of sauces complement. The feast also includes soup, a selection of desserts and Kenyan coffee.

For those having overnight in Nairobi city this night would have dinner in The Nyama Choma Ranch Cabaret

With its own stage, state-of-the-art lighting and sound, the Nyama Choma Ranch plays host to Nairobi’s premiere cabaret. Commencing their 45-minute performance at 9pm nightly, the Safari Cats are our team of professionally trained and choreographed dancers, whose performances are also eagerly welcomed all over the world.

The Safari Cats’ dancers and Acrobats stage show is the premiere event in town, and is complemented by the resident live band nightly.

A sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under-canvas ambiance and Kenyan safari luxury. The northern frontier of Samburu game reserve, to the world famous bird and rhino sanctuary, the Lake Nakuru National, then South over the Mau Escarpment to Kenya’s greatest concentration of game, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The waterhole allow a unique alternative to the usual game viewing from the confines of a vehicle as you can observe buffalo, rhino and various other herbivores leisurely whilst enjoying a sundowner.

DAY 1. OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY, SWEETWATERS SERENA CAMP, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel early after breakfast and be driven to the plains north East of Mount Kenya and further to the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy for game drive until time for lunch in Sweetwaters Serena Camp.

After a short rest you would proceed to various parts in the conservancy for afternoon game drive until time for dinner in the camp.

DAY 2. OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY, SWEETWATERS SERENA CAMP, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

This day you would be spend in the conservancy with early morning, mid morning lunch and evening game drives until time for dinner in the camp.  There are many optional activities like below which are payable direct in the camp and so not included in the cost of this safari. Definitely you would book one of them at your own accord to discover for your happiness.

DAY 3. SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE, SAMBURU WILDERNESS LODGE, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

After breakfast take off for further north across the Equator to the edge of the Northern Frontier; Samburu National Reserve where arrival will be in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in this diverse landscape of thorn scrub, red dirt, dried river beds, broken volcanic rock, steep hills, rocky outcroppings and reserve rich of over  1100 different birds. We return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner followed by overnight.

DAY 4. SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE, SAMBURU WILDERNESS LODGE, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

A full day spent exploring the park unique both in scenery and wildlife. The region is home to the uncommon gravy’s zebra with huge fury ears, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali ostrich with distinct blue legs and the shy oryx. Elephant and crocodile are guaranteed sightings, excellent bird watching with numerous varieties of weaverbirds and the martial eagle. You would have an option to visit a Samburu village (cousins to the Masai people).

DAY 5. SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE, SAMBURU WILDERNESS LODGE, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

This day further would be spend in Samburu National Reserve which was one of the two areas in which conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the bestselling book and award winning movie Born Free.

The Samburu National Reserve is also the home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting oryx calve.

All throughout the day you would have early morning and mid morning game drives with a break for lunch and another game drive until time for dinner and overnight in the lodge.

You would have flexibility of game drives depending on how you want and this all depends on how you want but our driver guide would be ready for game drives anytime to help you see as many wildlife as possible to accomplish seeing the big five.

DAY 6. NAKURU NATIONAL PARK, LAKE NAKURU SOPA LODGE, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

Very early departure towards Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch and thereafter an afternoon game drive in the park. This park covers only 180 sq km and is home to black and white rhino, flamingo, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, reedbuck, and the occasional leopard. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.

DAY 7. MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE, KEEKOROK WILDERNESS LODGE, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

Early morning at 06:30 hours you take tea or coffee and a snack then depart for game drive in the park before full break at 08:00 hours time for leaving for Masai Mara National Reserve to arrive in time for a lunch. In the late afternoon game drive where you could spot the Masai giraffe, baboon, warthog, bat eared fox, grey jackal, spotted hyena, topi, impala, hartebeest, and wildebeest. Elephant, buffalo, zebra and hippopotamus also exist in great numbers. It is also common to see lion either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for the next meal kill and also cheetah. Leopard is harder to spot but are still reasonably common, later you would resort in the lodge for overnight.

DAY 8. MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE, KEEKOROK WILDERNESS LODGE, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD

The day is spent viewing game as well in the early, mid morning hours and in the evenings as this is when we have the best chances of seeing wildlife. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July to September when millions of these grass eaters move into Masai Mara National Reserve from the Serengeti National Reserve which is the northern extension of  Masai Mara National Reserve in search of lusher grass. Optional activities include balloon rides, visit to Masai village.

This being your last day in this reserve for this particular safari would be a day to wonder about what animal was not seen but with hope all would have been spotted at a considerable distance. As usual you would be there to hunt for wild game seeing with traditional but elaborate search from early morning and mid morning game drives with a break for lunch and another game drive until time for dinner and overnight in the lodge.

DAY 10. NAIROBI CITY, MEAL PLAN IS LUNCH ONLY

You would depart to Nairobi after breakfast arriving in Carnivore Restaurant time for lunch, this renowned restaurant is for only flesh/meat and has really fresh food and this is a moment for meat lovers to sample many options. The Carnivore is the ultimate ‘Beast of a Feast’ A variety of meat including ostrich, crocodile and camel, is roasted over charcoal and carved on your table.

For those who would be connecting would be transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Wilson Airport or could have a shopping until time at 06:00 hours when the driver guide would drop them at either airports or in a hotel in the city.

For those who would be having an overnight in Nairobi city hotel the cost is not here included and which could be booked upon request. Can spend the evening on leisure where you could do guided shopping and be dropped in the city hotel at 06:00 hours. We could further take you to for dinner in Safari Park Hotel where resident dancers know as Safari Park Cats would entertain you. This could be organized on request as well and later you would be dropped in your hotel for overnight.

All our driver guides are holders of bronze or silver metals from KTDGA who are examining body and whose aim is to improve the quality of driver guides for the Kenya tourist industry and they have been in the industry for more than 16 years and are aged between 35 to 50 years of age.
