Whether you pray before a meal or normally dive right in, start taking a brief moment before eating and say, “This food is a blessing to my body, although too much of it will hurt me. I will stop eating before I am full.”

Use color psychology to your advantage. Research has shown that “warm” colors like yellow and red can stimulate the appetite, whereas green and blue suppress it. Just think about the iconic golden arches and bright yellow benches that have symbolized  McDonald’s and Subway over the years! Try serving dinner on blue and green plates and cover your table with a blue and green tablecloth. Have fun with it. 4- Choose Your Seat Wisely

Since most foods congregate in the middle the table, be sure to choose a seat near the end of the table at your next dinner party. You will be less likely to eat seconds and snack between courses.
