10. Reshma



Reshma was born in 1947 in Bikaner. She has had been a fantastic folk singer Reshma, who mesmerized her fans both in Pakistan and India. She is known for her songs such as “Dama Dam Mast Kalandar” and “Lambi Judaai”. Reshma left this world due to throat cancer a few months ago. But she is still remembered by her fans.

9. Shafqat Ali Khan



Shafqat Ali Khan was born on 17th june, 1972. He is known as the king of classical Ghazals in India. Since a long, Shafqat has sung over 500 Ghazals, many of them proved to be the big success. He sings songs in distinctive contemporary style and soulful voice.

8. Salamat Ali Khan



Salamat Ali Khan was born in 11th July, 1934. He had been a member of musical dynasty Pakistan. He started his singing career with his brother, Nazakat Ali Khan and both started performing in Indian music industry. Salamat was died in 2001.

Mehdi Hassan Khan was born on 18 July, 1927, in Rajasthan. His father was also involved in classical music, so Mehdi got the training from his father at an early age. He has sung various Ghazals in beautiful classic style and was a notable playback singer in Bollywood.

Arif was one of the most famous legendary Pakistani singers, and is the former lead vocalist of a musical band. He has sung various classical songs and got this singing skill inherited from his family.

Ustad Ghulam Ali was born on 5 December, 1940. He is one of the most distinguished Ghazal singers in the world. He was born in Sialkot, Pakistan but moved to India for getting much more fame that he could never get in Pakistan. 4. Bade Ghulam Ali Khan

Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali is one of the most famous classical singers of the era. He was born in Punjab, on 2nd April, 1902. He represented the beauty of cultures and traditions of Pakistan and India in his songs. He had been a great artist as well, and lost his life on 25th April, 1928.

3. Amanat Ali Khan

Ustad Amanat Ali Khan was born in 1922. He was the grandson of Ali Baksh Jarnail, who laid the foundation of the Patiala Gharana. Amanat possessed beautiful singing skills and continued spreading the message of peace in his Ghazals, sung in India.

2. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan was born in October, 1948 and died in August, 1997. He was famous for his prominent Ghazals and got emerged in the Sufi genre of music, and Qawwali. He has sung various folk Ghazals in India. He was originally from Faisalabad, Pakistan but moved to India to give an edge to his singing career.

He is the son of Pakistani singer Ustad Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan. His Ghazals have largely influenced the music industry of Bollywood.
