Sony Music Entertainment Australia and Sony Pictures Releasing are excited to announce that Australia’s own TONIGHT ALIVE is set to release an electrifying new single “THE EDGE,” written exclusively for the Australian release of the new movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The Rise Of Electro, opening in Australia on April 17th. “The Edge” is available to pre-order now ahead of its global release on April 1st, which will coincide with the premiere of the epic official music video – check out the 15 second teaser here.
With “The Edge” being written by Tonight Alive exclusively for the movie, the song will be featured on The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The Rise Of Electro Original Motion Picture Soundtrack in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K. and Ireland.
“The Edge” sits amongst top level global talent on the soundtrack, alongside “It’s On Again” by Alicia Keys featuring Kendrick Lamar, written exclusively for the film by Pharrell Williams, Alicia Keys, Hans Zimmer and Kendrick Lamar, and produced by Pharrell Williams.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The Rise Of Electro Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is released in Australia on Friday, April 18th on Columbia Records and Madison Gate Records, through Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
Striking a major chord with fans in the UK this month, Tonight Alive premiered the track live on March 8th to a capacity audience of 5,500 fans at the O2 Academy in Brixton whilst on a sold out tour across the UK with All Time Low. US fans are currently being treated to the brand new track throughout the remainder of March and April as the band tours the US with Taking Back Sunday and The Used.
