BURBANK

Hollywood Piano named Baldwin Piano’s ‘Dealer of the Year’

Hollywood Piano was recently honored with the official presentation of the Baldwin “Dealer Of The Year” award from the Southern California Baldwin District Manager Herschel Green. This marks the second year in a row the Burbank-based chain has received this award for outstanding sales.

Hollywood Piano is one of the longest standing Baldwin dealerships in the country having started with them in the late 1930s. Glenn Treibitz, Hollywood Piano owner said, “Baldwin pianos sell themselves. When someone has been auditioning other pianos and sits down at a Baldwin it’s like an ‘ah-ha’ moment. We are proud to represent them.”

As the Los Angeles area’s oldest continuing large piano retailer, Hollywood Piano has been a key fixture in the music, television and the film industry since 1928.

Celebrate ‘All4Run’ on June 1

To commemorate the June 1st celebration of Global Running Day, and Fleet Feet’s 40th Anniversary, All4Run challenges people to meet up with their friends, celebrate their community and experience honest human connection. For many, their local running group is a way to check-in with friends, relieve stress while getting exercise, and spend some time exploring their city. While those who do run are dedicated to their sport, not enough Californians are regularly exercising.

The event will begin at 6pm on Wednesday, June 1st, and the three-mile fun run will begin at 6:30pm. After that, Fleet Feet Burbank has an evening filled with raffle prizes and giveaways, including race entry to Rock’n’Roll Los Angeles 2016, food served by North Hollywood’s Slanging Corea food truck, and an in-store happy hour hosted and served by Glendale’s Brewyard Beer Company.

Secretary of State Alex Padilla encourages Californians to serve as poll workers

Secretary of State Alex Padilla recently urged Californians to serve as Election Day poll workers for the June 7th Presidential Primary Election.

“Poll workers play a vital role in our elections,” said Padilla. “County elections officials need dedicated poll workers to ensure smooth and successful elections. Serving as a poll worker is a great way to support our democracy, serve the community and learn about the election process. You can earn while you learn—poll workers are paid for their work.”

County Elections Officials in California have reported that they are still in need of both English speaking and bilingual poll workers for the June Primary Election.  Californians interested in serving as poll workers should contact their County Elections Office to sign up. Positions are available in all parts of the state.
