In today’s business marketplace, there is nothing more important than ‘connection’ to the customer or prospect, and we know there is no CRM tool more powerful in providing that connection than Pivotal 6. With Pivotal Mobile for iPhone and iPad, we at Tokara Solutions have also been able to help clients leverage that connection into the field for sales teams.

We’ve also made sure that for other critical business applications, our Pivotal clients are able to quickly and easily tie into best-of-breed apps, all through their familiar Pivotal CRM interface. Now we’re enabling our Pivotal CRM clients to migrate their the on-premise Pivotal systems to private Cloud environments (e.g., Amazon Cloud, Windows Azure, Intel Cloud, etc.), allowing them to take advantage of all the benefits inherent in Cloud Computing.

Today’s blog covers a few of the very highest-level benefits our clients are sharing with us; next week’s blog will follow with more discussion of the benefits users are able to leverage after migrating their Pivotal CRM system to a private Cloud environment.

At the very highest level, our Cloud Computing clients have seen dramatic benefits in the operation of their business and technology systems, including:

Optimized & Rapid Deployment of Resources. After migrating their Pivotal CRM system to a private Cloud environment, clients are able to deploy servers in minutes rather than the weeks or months required in a traditional data center environment. Resources can be instantly provisioned as they are needed in the Cloud self-service environment.

Highly Scalable Solutions. Clients leveraging a private Cloud environment for their Pivotal CRM requirements enjoy the ability to increase hardware and/or software resources in matter of minutes when they need to scale, paying only for what they use.

Low Total Cost of Ownership. As mentioned above, companies using a private Cloud environment are able not only to reduce the cost of hardware and/or software, but also the cost associated with on-premise data centers, such as electricity and cooling.

High Efficiency. The inherent reliability and efficiency of Cloud Computing allows many companies to eliminate the need for large data centers and redundant servers.

Security. Once a concern among business migrating their operations to the Cloud, today’s Cloud Computing environments implement new, higher levels of security that meet and exceed most on-premise data security compliance requirements.

Reduced Personnel Costs. Because many requisite IT functions in a Cloud environment are performed by external resources, the need for in-house technical knowledge is decreased (and in some cases eliminated) as the need for infrastructure personnel is reduced.

There are also a host of additional advantages to moving on-premise systems to the Cloud, depending on a business’ specific use case(s). For example, Pivotal CRM users who have migrated to the Cloud can take advantage of new functionality introduced by the latest Service Packs and Hot-Fixes when using the latest operating systems and application versions, such as SQL Server and SharePoint.

Tune in next week for details on some additional benefits Pivotal CRM users are seeing as we migrate their systems to a private Cloud environment.
