By the time we arrived at Lake Nakuru in Kenya, we had even now seen many of the big animals of Africa in the Masai Mara including lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos and but also cheetahs. But we’d yet to escort all of the Big Five, by just the leopard and rhino wanting from our list.

Here on the shores of Lake Nakuru, there are two main stars: the rhinos and the flamingos. The lake’s copiousness of algae attracts the vast aggregate of flamingos that famously line the coast. We just missed the season in which place millions of birds cover the lake in a blanket of pink, but we were lucky enough to allay see quite a few flamingos feeding attached algae just next to the driving trail. Rhinos on the other hand, are not originally inhabitants of Lake Nakuru — they were introduced into the park to the degree that part of a rehabilitation project subsequently years of poaching decimated the rhino populousness. But thanks to the success of the Lake Nakuru bulge, there is now a healthy rhino people in the national park and they are the same of the reasons why many visit.

To give you a glimpse of the beauteous wildlife (not just rhino and flamingos) we proverb at Lake Nakuru, here’s a photo article from one of my favorite national parks in Africa.
