Taapsee Pannu was born on the 1 August 1987 into a Punjabi Sikh family. She has done her schooling from the well known Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Delhi. Following this, she graduated in the field of computer science from the prestigious Guru TeghBahadur Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
Later she has worked as a software professional. One of her contributions in the field of software development was an application made for iPhone by the name of ‘fontswap’. She has also been featured on the cover of magazines Just For Women and MaaStars.

Raghavendra Rao’s romantic-musical Jhummandi Naadam. Later, she made her Tamil debut with multiple national award winning Aadukalam.
She made her foray into Malayalam cinema with Doubles, starring opposite Mammootty. Soon later she has signed half-a-dozen films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and has rose to high.
