Hansika Motwani is an Indian actress, who mainly works in Tamil and Telugu films. She made her Bollywood debut as a child artist in the movie “Hawa” and followed by the blockbuster “Koi…Mil Gaya”. She made her leading actress debut with the Telugu movie Desamuduru, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. Till date, Hansika was the part of several Telugu and Tamil films.

Hansika was born on 9 August 1991, in Mumbai. She has completed her schooling in Podar International School and International Curriculum School in Mumbai. She grabbed film opportunity through her mother’s client actress Juhi Chawla. Then Hansika has signed in ‘Yahoo’ with Govinda, but the project was suspended. Then she has tried her best and has acted in several Hindi films and also in regional language movies. Before entering into films she has acted in television serials. She speaks Hindi and Tulu fluently.

Hansika has started her career as a child artist with serials like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Hum 2 Hai Na’, ‘Desh Me Nikla Hoga Chand’, ‘Shakalaka Boom Boom’ and many more. She appeared as one of the children in Koi…Mil Gaya with Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan.
She was also seen in various TV commercials that include Pepsi, Samsung, Hyundai Santro TV, Nirma and Bournvita. Hansika made her debut in a lead role in Telugu film Desamuduru. Hansika Motwani is a great philanthropist. She provides complete support for 25 underprivileged children and also takes care of the medical needs of 10 women affected with breast cancer. The special thing about her is she adopts a child on her every birthday and supports their education and other needs. A huge fan of Hansika, has built a temple for her in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
