Unni Mukundan, the young actor is all set to play Mohanlal‘s son cum villain in Telugu movie Janatha Garage. Interestingly, it was Mohanlal who recommended Unni Mukundan for the role.
According to director Koratala Siva, the crew was searching for a new face, who is a perfect combination of manliness and innocence. Then, Mohanlal suggested him to consider Unni Mukundan.
The team felt that Unni Mukundan is perfect for the role and decided to rope in the actor. Janatha Garage will start rolling at the various locations of Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Kerala by February.
Earlier, it was reported that the team had been considering some popular young actors of Mollywood, including Fahadh Faasil for the role of Mohanlal‘s son aka the main antagonist.
Janatha Garage, which is produced by Mythri Productions, stars Junior NTR in the lead role. Mohanlal plays a very important role in the movie, which is made in a budget of 100 Crores.
The movie will have popular actresses Samantha and Nithya Menen in the female leads. Janatha Garage, which is said to be a complete action-packed entertainer, will be released by mid-2016.
The theatrical rights of Junior NTR‘s next movie “Janatha Garage” have reportedly been sold for record prices much before the beginning of its shooting. Experts call it the effect of the success of his recent release “Nannaku Prematho“.
“Janatha Garage” is an action film and its pre-production work started in Hyderabad on 25 October, 2015. Its formal shooting is expected to begin from 9 February, 2016. Junior NTR, who is basking in on the success of “Nannaku Prematho“, will join the film unit very soon. Its producers have plans to wrap up its shooting fast and release it in theatres on 12 August, 2016.
The buzz in the industry is the makers of “Janatha Garage” have sold the distribution and Tamil dubbing rights of the movie a week before the beginning of its filming. The flick has fetched Rs 65 crore from the sale of its worldwide theatrical rights and the producers are yet to ink the deal of the other rights.
