It was Ajith, who introduced director AR Murugadoss to Tamil film industry with Dheena. Most importantly, Ajith’s nickname in Dhenna was Thala, which eventually became the actor’s sobriquet. A few years after ‘Dheena’ a project was launched in which Murugadoss was supposed to direct Ajith for the second time. The film was titled as ‘Mirattal’ and even the first look posters were released. But the film had to be dropped for unknown reason. Murugadoss has kept one of posters of ‘Mirattal’ featuring Ajith as the cover photo of his official Twitter handle.
This has strongly raised the speculation that the ‘Ghajini’ director is hinting at the revival of the project amid widespread expectation about his teaming up with Ajith especially after the blockbusters ‘Thuppakki’ and ‘Kaththi’ with Vijay. AR Murugadoss has wrapped his Hindi film, Akira starring Sonakshi Sinha and he will soon start shooting for the yet-untitled Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Mahesh Babu.
