HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team is hosting the Second Annual Trevecca Music City Invitational at Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville, Tenn. The 2017 version builds on the strong 6-team field in 2016. The field includes several teams predicted to challenge for their conference title and a number of teams bring preseason All-American and athletes on the NCAA Division II player of the year watch list.

The expanded 2017 event now includes 10 teams. Participating hail from five different NCAA Division II conferences. Eight of the teams come from conferences that make up the Midwest Region. Lindenwood (MIAA) and Montevallo (PBC) are the two schools not in the Midwest Region. Montevallo will be apart of the GSC next season. Ohio Dominican is moving from the GLIAC to the G-MAC next season.

Ohio Dominican, Indianapolis, and Truman State are all returning for a second year to the Trevecca MCI. The 2016 field also included Hillsdale College and Alabama Huntsville.
