NASHVILLE, Tenn. - First year Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer coach Kelsey Fenix is announcing her first signing class as the Trojans head coach. The three 2017 signees are Alexis Hayes (Clarksville, Tenn.), Tennessee Barkalow (Clarksville, Tenn.), and Madison Seacrist (Murfreesboro, Tenn.).

"We are beyond excited because these players will positively impact our team on and off the field as freshmen," Fenix said. "As we continue to build this program, we knew the class of 2017 had to give us greater competition within the squad and undoubtedly these girls accomplish that need."

The 2017 Trevecca women's soccer signing class adds more Middle Tennessee connections to a roster that is coming off a 13-win season and the 2016 G-MAC Regular Season Championship.

"We add pace, intelligence, and competitiveness to the squad with these girls, and we cannot be more pleased," Fenix said.

The three Trojan newcomers will join the 22 returners for the 2017 season. Two of the newcomers, Hayes and Barkalow, played together at Clarksville High School.

MADISON SEACRIST
Seacrist is a five-foot-7 center back/defender who played for Jeff Boynton at Oakland High School. The four year varsity payer made theĀ  honor roll in addition to her athletic honors.

Seacrist helped lead the Oakland Patriots to four District 7AAA Championships, two District 7AAA Tournament Championships, two Region 8AAA Championships, and reached the TSSAA State Quarterfinals in 2014. Seacrist added two assists and a goal in her final two seasons.

On the club scene Seacrist played for Travis Fravel and the Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) '98 Showcase. The team won the D2 State Championship and Regionals.

TENNESSEE BARKALOW
Barkalow is a five-foot-8 center back who played for Jeff Jordan at Clarksville (Tenn.) High School where she earned 2016 NSCAA All South Region team, 2016 THSSCA All-State, 2016 District 10-AAA Defensive MVP, 2016 All-District 10-AAA, 2016 Tennessean All Mid-State First Team, and 2015 & 2016 Leaf Chronicle All Area First Team honors.

Barkalow and her Clarksville Wildcats produced 52 shutouts during her career. The Wildcats are the 2014 and 2016 TSSAA Class AAA State Champions and the 2015 TSSAA Class AAA State Runner-up.

Barkalow played club soccer for Beth Acreman and the Clarskville Soccer Club.

ALEXIS HAYES
Hayes is a five-foot-8 forward/midfielder who played for Jeff Jordan at Clarksville (Tenn.) High School where she earned 2016 Leaf Chronicle All-Area Girls Soccer Player of the Year, 2016 All-District 10-AAA Offensive MVP, 2014, 2015, & 2016 All-District 10-AAA, 2015 & 2016 TSSAA All-State, and 2015 & 2016 Clarksville Golden Boot. She also played in the 2016 Tennessee High School All-Star Game

In all, Hayes scored 112 goals in her high school career with 32 goals and 27 assists as a senior.

Hayes and the Wildcats are the 2014 and 2016 TSSAA Class AAA State Champions and the 2015 TSSAA Class AAA State Runner-up.
