TNPSC Group 2 December 2013 Exam Results was expected to be published soon after the parliamentary election results (16-05-2014). Now the parliamentary election results have been announced and we can expect the TNPSC Group 2 Results any time. No Changes in TNPSC Group 2 Preliminary Exam 2013 Date - TNPSC
TNPSC Group 2 Interview Posts 2013 has been scheduled to be conducted on December 1 2013. But there are Civil Service Mains Examination also to be conducted on the same day. There was a great expectation among the Group 2 Exam aspirants about the change of exam date. But, TNPSC has informed that there will be no change of exam date in TNPSC Group 2 Interview Posts. (According to procedure, if there are requests from atleast 15 candidates, who write IAS and applied for TNPSC Group 2 Exam this year, the TNPSC will consider their request for postponing the TNPSC Group 2 Exam Date. But the decision taken by the TNPSC will be final)

Education Qualification for Group 2 Interview Posts
Most of the TNPSC Group 2 Interview posts requires a degree, but there are some preferences. Please refer the notification. Note...the final year degree students can not apply for these post as it is clearly mentioned in the notification that a candidate should have possessed qualification at the time of advertisement.
When will be the group 2 non interview post (Group 2 A) announcement ?
The notification for group 2a (non interview posts) is expected to be published with in the end of this month, according to Dinamalar news paper there will be 1000 Group 2 Assistants posts in the Education Department itself, and all the posts are to be filled through TNPSC Group 2 A Exam 2013. There is no authenticated information from tnpsc about the advertisement of group 2 non interview posts 2013 till today. You need not worry much as the syllabus for the both is same. If you prepare well for TNPSC Group 2 Interview Poists Preliminary Exam, you can easily face the TNPSC Group 2 A (Non Interview) exam also.

New Exam Pattern or Old Exam Pattern This Year?
The thinathanthi news paper has informed that the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) may considers the cancellation of main exam system in tnpsc group 2 exam for this year TNPSC Group 2 Exam 2013 (introduced with the new revised TNPSC Exam pattern and syllabus) , so the old system may continue (Single and integrated exam for interview and not interview posts) . If it is true that will be a happy news for the aspirants who have been preparing for Group 2 Exam for years with old syllabus and exam pattern.

TNPSC Group 2 Exam Notification for the year 2013 was being expected for more than two weeks with much eager, but, there is no update from TNPSC Website www.tnpsc.gov.in till now. That much expectation was based on the Dinathanthi News before 10 days, it informed that there will be announcement for TNPSC Group 2 Exam 2013 with in two days . Any how we can strongly believe that the advertisement of TNPSC Group 2 Exam may be published before the end of this week.
When will be the TNPSC Group 2 Exam Date This Year?
This year the TNPSC Group 2 Advertisement is expected more curious than ever, because of the new changes TNPSC is to introduce this year onwards in Group 2 Exams. According to the Dinathanthi Newspaper, the exam date may be in the month of October or November 2013, this also based on the newspaper news. Because, TNPSC used to give minimum 2 months preparation time for every exams. So, if the advertisement comes on August, you will be given atleast two months time for preparation.
Note all these are based on news and some assumptions, for real facts, we have to wait till the tnpsc group 2 advertisement 2013 published.
Total Number of TNPSC Group 2 Vacancies in 2013
The news source has mentioned there will be arround three thousand five hundred vacancies this year 2013.
It is expected that the both TNPSC Group 2 and TNPSC Group 2 A Exam Notifications will be announced in the same advertisements. The TNPSC Group 1 Announcement also expected to come with the Group 2 Advertisement.
This year will be a tough competition and some what difficult also. The addition of main examination for TNPSC Group 2 Exam will make the tnpsc group 2 exam more competitive than ever. Please download the syllabus and start preparing based on the new syllabus.
Give more importance to TNPSC General Tamil or General English Portion as they contribute 50 % questions (100 questions and 150 marks out of 300 marks) of the TNPSC Group 2 Preliminary Exam. It is to be noticed that the TNPSC General Tamil (Pothu Tamil) Portion and General English portion had been added with two more parts with the previous syllabus. Now both pothu tamil and general english have 3 Parts.
To be confident in the General Tamil (Pothu Tamil) or General English, note that the Tamilnadu State Board Samacheer Kalvi Books are the basic study materials. So start with Samacheer Kalvi Books from class 6th to 10th (11, 12th if you can). After completing state board books only you should go for any type of guide books. Please be prepared. All the best !
This year onwards TNPSC Group 2 Exam ( CSSE - 1) is going to be conducted in two examinations instead of a single examination with a single interview previously.
It is an important step by TNPSC as in previous years there was only one exam for various categories. They were called as Group II -Interview and Group II -Non Interview posts. Same examination but there were big difference in the salaries and the responsibilities between Interview and Non Interview posts.
For example Revenue Inspectors (RI) posts come under Non - Interview and pay scale is 5200 Basic pay and take home will be about Rs. 13,ooo. But, for Assistant Section Officers (ASO) in secretariat, who have been selected through Interview will be paid 9300 Basic pay and take home will be about Rs.26,000.
Now its a very good innovative step by TNPSC which will benefit all Group II aspirants.Now there are two examinations Group II and Group II A.

TNPSC Group 2 Notification for the year 2013 is expected to be published by the TNPSC in July 2013. This year the Combined Civil Service - II (Group 2 ) total number of vacancy for the interview posts will be 604. Combined Civil Service - II (Group 2 A) non interview posts will be 789.
