BNP Paribas has lost another TMT banker in Asia following the departure of TMT Asia head Denis Fargier in early 2015. TMT Finance has learnt that Ravikiran Ravulaparthi, director of TMT, has left the French investment bank and joined Rippledot Capital, a Singapore-located M&A advisory firm focused on the Asia-Pacific region. Ravulaparthi, who will continue to be based in Singapore, will serve as senior VP in Rippledot and is said to be focusing on M&A deals in the TMT sector.

According to Ravulaparthi’s LinkedIn page, he has 12 years’ experience in investment banking and corporate development in the TMT sector in Asia Pacific, covering M&A, debt financing, corporate strategy and principal investments. Before joining BNP, Ravulaparthi worked for Macquarie and Tata Group.

As previously reported by TMT Finance in February, BNP has been restructuring its TMT team in Asia, following the bank’s integration of M&A and financing teams in Paris and London, which are targeting more cross-selling between bond/loan products and M&A mandates. Sources told TMT Finance that BNP still has not appointed a new head to replace Fargier.
