I can’t believe how quickly this week has flown by and how much insanity was dropped on us by the TV networks. We had villains galore, intense finales and more twists than I know what to do with. I’m going to give you the low down on what went down in a way that only I can. So keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times this is going to get crazy!

*Spoilers Spoilers Spoilers…..enter at your own risk*

Best Breaking News- Some of you might already have heard this, but I figured it was so good I just had to see it in writing. CBS ditched Supergirl for season 2, but it was picked up by its little sister network the CW. This is most excellent news for us superhero freaks because all our favorite DC shows are now under one roof! I saw the new CW promo the other day with Supergirl right along side The Flash, Arrow and The Legends of Tomorrow. It was as if she had always been part of the family, it’s going to be totally amazeballs. This leaves us with so many more possibilities; which the execs have already hinted that there will be a mega crossover spanning all 4 shows. I get goosebumps just thinking about it *squeals*.

The other little tid bit of good news is that FOX’s new hit show Lucifer will return in the Fall for a full season; not a mid season show like it was this year. For fans of Tom Ellis who plays the devilishly handsome Lucifer Morningstar this news is everything. I am so thrilled for a full season to explore this character further and see what kind of mischief Lucifer can get himself into.

Best One Liners- I might make this a regular weekly category because I like it so much and I would love for you all to send me comments and add your favorites from the week as well. “Seems you are your father’s son” –Hugo Strange/Gotham “I could tell by your mustache you are a man of importance, not to be trifled with”- Dr. Holden Radcliff/ Agents of Shield “and I can tell by your beady little eyes, your a worm” –General Talbot/Agents of Shield “I like stealing things, it makes me feel good”- Mick Rory/Legends of Tomorrow “A time master is never late”- Sara/Legends of Tomorrow “My name is Rex Tyler; I’m a member of the Justice Society of America”- Rex/Legends of Tomorrow “Every time I see his face I want to punch something”- Agent May/Agents of Shield “Grab your bits and your bobs”-Alfred/Gotham “Drug me again and I will kill you, you S.O.B.”- Thea/Arrow “I really think you need a time out”- Malcolm/Arrow “Help me Obi Wan, your my only hope”-Holograph Coulson/Agents of Shield

Best Finales- This week there were 3 big finales that mattered to me and two of these were a whopping 2 hours long! They have to be damn good to keep my attention for 2 hours, and these were among the best.

First was the Grimm 2 hour season finale on NBC. I know I don’t talk about Grimm a lot, but it’s a damn good show worth mentioning. This season finale really had some tense and emotional moments. Sean Renard crossed the line and killed his old friend Meisner. Renard and Adalind’s creepy offspring Diana killed her daddy’s mistress in her sleep. Diana’s magic is much stronger than anyone could have expected. Not only is she able to deliver a magical warning to Nick that Black Claw is coming, but she makes Renard kill Conrad Bonaparte. Bonaparte was a full Zauberbiest and leader of Black Claw. The season finale ends with a “to be continued” with Sean and Nick just staring at each other with this dead body between them. Meanwhile Eve looks like she has been completely cured and could be Juliet again and Rosalie drops the news on hubby Monroe that they are going to have a baby; all while they are hiding out in the sewers.

Agents of Shield had a 2 hour finale that kept you on the edge of your seat the entire time. After witnessing Daisy’s vision of the future where someone was going to die, we see a floating gold cross giving us a clue as to who this person would be. We spent 2 hours basically playing the shell game with that dang necklace, trying to keep tabs on who had it because then we knew who was going to die. It was Mack first, and he tried to give it back to Yo-Yo but she wasn’t having any of it. Then Mack dropped it and it was picked up and pocketed by Fitz, and my heart dropped. Later he gave his jacket to Daisy because she was cold and the necklace was still in the pocket. She found the necklace and was even more resigned than ever to pay for her shortcomings by piloting the quinjet with the bomb into space. Just as we were resigned this was to be Daisy’s fate as well; in a heroic twist, in steps the already injured Lincoln. He pushes Daisy out, traps Hive and takes off for space; with that damn necklace of all things. I got goosebumps as Daisy and Lincoln had to say their goodbyes on the radio. He tells a very angry Daisy that “saving the girl I love and the whole world seems pretty right to me”. In the end it is Lincoln and Hive that go out in a blaze of glory, and all we see is the cross floating across the screen. The best part of this finale for me was the 6 month fast forward to Coulson and Mack clearly on a stake out of some kind. Turns out they are hunting a very goth looking Daisy and she is quite powerful. Then to find out that Coulson is not the acting director of Shield, and the creepy Dr. Radcliff is friends with Fitz and Simmons. The most intriguing development is what the not so good Dr. has created. We only get to see a humanoid shape behind frosted glass, but whatever it is seems to be intelligent and not human. I’m thinking something along the lines of what Stark did with Vision or Ultron. This could be our first glimpse at the big bad for next season. What was your take on that ending?

Last but certainly not least was the season one finale for The Legends of Tomorrow. The entire season has been leading up to this episode, and is does not disappoint. Up until now it was all about killing Vandal Savage, which our 3 teams of legends finally manage to do in triplet. Ray “haircut” and Rory take Vandal on in 1958 and Mick joyously get to set him on fire, Sara and Firestorm take him in 1975 with Sara being the instrument of his destruction and snapping his neck. Lastly it’s up to Rip and Carter to take Savage in 2021 and Rip gets the closure he has been seeking for so long by electrifying that S.O.B. Rip returns all the heroes to their year of 2016, and bids them farewell. Sara gets to grieve with her father over Laurel’s death, Mick gets to say his proper goodbyes to Snart; but they all realize that returning to their old lives is no longer an option. The job isn’t over and the world still needs the legends of tomorrow. As Rip has just shown up to take his team back a second wave rider ship is spotted flying in, and lands close by. The team is on high alert as a mysterious figure emerges and makes his way towards them. He tells them that if they get on their ship they are all as good as dead and that they are in big trouble. Apparently he has been sent from the future by Mick and that is how he knows exactly when and where to find them all right at this moment. When asked who the hell he is, he replies “My name is Rex Tyler; I’m a member of the Justice Society of America”. Rex Tyler is a golden age hero known as Hourman, one of the founding members of the very first superhero group; The Justice Society of America. Season two for LOT could be nothing short of legendary.

Weekly Studs – There was a lot of positive this week on TV to cover as I have already gone over some of the best finales and one liners above. Can I get a hallelujah that not only is Savage dead, but in a very gratifying way not only for the characters but for the viewers as well; we got to see him killed 3 different ways, by 3 different teams in 3 different time eras. Well played Legends of Tomorrow writers.

This week’s episode of The Flash called “Invincible” was very appropriate considering Barry had a very positive but slightly cocky attitude after his time spent with in the speed force. The appearance of Black Canary’s earth 2 doppelganger Black Siren was the shining moment of this episode. It was great seeing Katie Cassidy back again and she was even more stunning as a villain. Maybe that was her calling all along, and I would love to see more of Black Siren in future episodes. It would be interesting to see the interaction between her and her sister White Canary. Barry came up with this amazing idea to take down all the E2 meta humans and was definitely a stud for this week. I also loved that Wally is determined to help people; he doesn’t have powers yet but he is a hero even without them. It just took Joe a little convincing from Barry to help him see that his son has great potential. It was super amusing to see Cisco and Caitlin play their evil doppelgangers Reverb and Killer Frost, to try and stall Black Siren.

Arrow’s episode this week delivered us some well choreographed and executed fight scenes. I never tire of seeing how many different ways Oliver can shoot and arrow, while running, jumping, flipping; the man is such a stud muffin. There was also great dialogue; the writers brought their A game for this episode. Whenever Felicity and Curtis are in the same room the hilarious high jinx ensue. It’s as though Emily Bett Rickards and Echo Kellum just feed off each other and their chemistry is top notch. Malcolm drugging Thea was completely despicable even for him, but I love that it was Oliver’s message of hope and Thea’s strength of character that helped her break free of the drugs influence. Oliver and team Arrow manage to cripple Genesis, take back control of Rubicon but ultimately that just makes Darhk all the more dangerous.

Gotham was super good this week as well and I loved seeing that Harvey has stepped up as acting captain and is doing a damn good job of it too! Bruce is really becoming his own man and I love watching the way he handled himself when meeting Hugo Strange. He was really quite brilliant and fearless. Another great moment is when they dropped the hint that Dr. Strange could in fact be working for the Court of Owls; one of Gotham’s oldest and most powerful secret societies.

Weekly Duds- There were a couple of things that didn’t make me a very happy girl this week, as I ‘m sure most of you will agree. The death of Luke Mitchell’s character Lincoln on Agents of Shield was tragic for sure; but it didn’t compare to the sheer devastation of Zoom killing Barry’s dad. The death of Henry Allen was something I kind of saw coming but that did not lessen the blow at all. Barry had just made peace with the loss of his mother, and now his father dies at the hands of his arch nemesis. I understand the reasoning behind it, or at least I have a sneaking suspicion as to why this had to happen; but it still tops my list of weekly duds. At the end of Legends of Tomorrow Carter and Kendra just take off and leave the team without their hawk mascots. Now that I think about it, this could be both on the good and bad lists depending on my mood. The biggest dud for me on Arrow was when Felicity’s mom Donna secretly asks Felicity’s dad Noah to leave. After everything he has done, doesn’t he deserve a chance at redemption and a shot at a real relationship with his daughter? I think this was a selfish dick move on Donna’s part because she saw the way that they were bonding, in a way she knew that her and Felicity never could. I was a more than a little bummed that Donna pulled this stunt, she’s so much better than that.

Amelly Award- This week my award goes to one actor who I have had a crush on for quite some time. He is the handsome and talented Australian actor Luke Mitchell who plays Lincoln Campbell on Marvel’s Agents of Shield. You might also recognize him from The Tomorrow People with Robbie Amell or the teen drama H2O. Much like my choice last week, Luke’s character makes the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good and for his team. Lincoln was such a great character and I am sorry to see him go, but at least he went out in a blaze of glory. He was able to finally do what Shield had failed to accomplish; take down Hive. I can’t wait to see where Luke will turn up next. Congrats!
