The Titan Desert by GARMIN closes its registration with over 400 participants and many candidates for the title of Champion: Milton Ramos, Thomas Dietsch, Ondrej Fojtík, Marzio Deho, Oscar Pujol, Luis Pasamontes or Juan Pedro Trujillo, among the favorites.

The Titan Desert by GARMIN, which takes place from April 27 to May 2, closes today the registrations for 2014 with 42 participants, 24% more than last year. The race through the desert of Morocco, one of the toughest in the world, will bring the best MTB Marathon riders.

This year the competition will be more open than ever. Ended the kingdom of Roberto Heras - four times Winner of the race and now retired - and without the participation of the current champion, the Portuguese Luis Leao Pinto, there are many bikers who want to sign his name in the Gold Book of the Titan.

Among them stands out the presence of the Spanish and Honduran biker, Milton Ramos (Madform-GoPro), , the French Thomas Dietsch (Team Bulls), winner of MTB World Cup in 2007, the Italian Marzio Deho (Olympia), who won different stages in the Titan, or the Czechs Ondrej Fojtík and Martin Horak (Ghost Rubena), a well-known bikers.

Other important Spanish bikers are Luis Pasamontes (MMR), who makes his debut this year, Oscar Pujol, Julen Zubero and Vidal Celis with Powerade ION4 team, Juan Pedro Trujillo and Fran Pérez with Mondraker and Ibon Zugasti (PROBIKE).
In the female category, all the pressure goes to the American biker Sonya Looney, who will participate for first time in the Titan, while the winner of 2013, Claudia Galicia, will seek to retain her victory.

The Mixed Duo category will be one of the big attractions of the race, especially for the couple formed by the broker Josef Ajram and Sandra Jordà, defending the colors of the RACC Team, and the ultra-marathon Pep Sánchez with the triathlete María Pujol, with the CINESA Team.

More than 400 participants will take part in the ninth edition of the race, the longest in its history with more than 700 kilometers spread over 6 stages by the most beautiful landscapes of Morocco: from the foot of the Atlas mountains to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi.

The race, one of the most important of the world, will have a great novelty, the Paso GARMIN, a stretch through the Moroccan desert without signage. The participants will use their GPS to move. More adventure for all participants.

Some of the names who best know how to guide themselves through the desert are the Dakar riders Jordi Viladoms - second in this edition - and Joan Pedrero - stage-winner-. Another Sport Celebrity who wants to participate in this adventure is the Real Madrid ex-football player César Sánchez.

Beyond the candidates to win the race, most of the 400 participants are amateur athletes that dream about finish this epic race, known as the Dakar of bicycles. In addition to overcome this challenge, the participants should live and sleep in camps located in the Moroccan desert.
