Many great ideas are packed into this $95,000 luxury tiny house. I realized that a lot of my long time readers just choked and spit their coffee across the room on that price tag – a discussion for another time.

Today I want to share all the amazing details packed into this 24-foot tiny home. Truth be told the folks that built this house pulled out all the stops – and this house was featured on television. So I don’t expect they plan on building homes this extravagant all the time. It’s a show piece.

With that said push that price tag out of your mind and take a look at what they accomplished.

On the roof is a mechanical seam metal roof. Inside the walls is closed cell spray foam insulation. On the exterior walls the house features a combination of sidings, including Shou Sugi Ban (charred) cedar siding and Red Western Cedar siding that’s been triple coated with Spar Urethane.

The house also has a very well done drop-down deck and awning that reveals a roll-up glass garage door. The garage door was custom built – pretty sure you can’t buy a door like that off-the-shelf. But let me know in the comments if you know where you can!

When you step inside the house you’ll find even more diversity of materials, like reclaimed barn wood, granite counter tops, solid walnut hardwood floors, shiplap siding, subway tile, and stainless steel shelves.

Normally when you mix so many different textures and finishes together you get a mess – but these folks definitely know their interior design.

You’ll also find high quality appliances that include a drawer dishwasher, cooktop and vent hood, bathtub, washer/dryer combo, full size refrigerator, convection toaster over, and more.

I think the most striking feature is the giant dining table that hides below the kitchen floor. In the following photos you’ll see how the seating and table are assembled.

The Alpha Tiny Home is the flagship for New Frontier Homes and was built as a showcase of what’s possible when you pull out all the stops.

If you want to see more of this house, The Alpha Tiny Home was featured on HGTV’s “Tiny House, Big Living,” Season 3, Episode 9. It was built by a team led by David Latimer, CEO and Founder of New Frontier Homes. Learn more about New Frontier Homes on their website.
