Germany will play their ECh-qualification matches this weekend against Russia. Russia has called back Evgeny Trefilov to take the lead again at the Russian national team, on the other side Heine Jensen is struggling to find players for some positions, since more German national team players were hit by injuries lately.
Leftback Nadja Nadgornaja (THC), playmaker Kim Nadzinavicius (Bayer Leverkusen) and rightback Anne Hubbinger (HC Leipzig) had suffered hand-fractures.
Lineplayers Anne Müller (knee injury) and Luisa Schulze (medical problems) (both from HC Leipzig) are both out, as well as leftwinger Lone Fischer from Buxtehude (knee injury).
Goalkeeper Katja Schülke ( HC Leipzig) is pregnant, and rightback Isabelle Klein(Buxtehude) is also out due to maternity issues.

“There are many reasons for the weak results of the Russian national team. One of them is the generation change which takes a lot of time. We have plenty of new players in the team and we cannot change the squad immediately because we need time to make a good team,”
