World record for a wristwatch sold at an auction
On 12 November 2016, “The Geneva Watch Auction: Four” held by Phillips Watches established the world record for any wristwatch sold at an auction with the ultra-rare Patek Philippe Reference 1518 in stainless steel which achieved the impressive amount of Swiss Francs 11,002,000.
