Proposal Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Rio de Janeiro
Meals: None

Upon arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Beautiful by nature, Rio de Janeiro is Brazil’s second largest city. Without a doubt the “Wonderful City” is one of most exciting destinations in Brazil and offers stunning beaches and landscapes to historical and cultural attractions.

Day 2: Half Day Group Excursion of the Christ-the-Redeemer Statue on Corcovado
Meals: Breakfast

This afternoon you will visit to the Christ-the-Redeemer Statue, which was recently elected as one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World, which sits 2,300m above sea level, atop Corcovado Hill. Following a scenic drive along the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, you will arrive at the foot of the hill from where you will embark on a small train which climbs the beautiful mountain. Upon reaching the top, visitors will experience a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro and discover why it is known as the Marvellous City! The tour also includes a drive along Rio’s famous beaches.

Day 3: Half Day Group Excursion of Sugar Loaf Mountain
Meals: Breakfast

Over a million tourists a year visit the world famous Pão de Açúcar, or Sugar Loaf Mountain, which has become an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Rising up from small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of a concentrated refined sugar loaf.
The tour is undertaken in two steps by glass cable-cars. The first cable-car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215m above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay its islands.
From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf which rises 395 meters above sea level and offers a 360 degree view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, the Corcovado and downtown Rio.

Day 4: Half Day Schooner Cruise to Angra dos Reis
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Departure from the Angra dos Reis Pier. We will spend the day on the sea, enjoying the numerous islands of the Angra archipelago including Francisca, Maia, Cataguases, Botinas and Gipóias.
We will stop to swim as well as have lunch at the Luiz Rosa Restaurant. The tour is a feast for the eyes with the crystal clear waters of the sea and the lush foliage of the rain forest. Angra dos Reis is composed of 365 islands with 2,000 beaches and is one of Brazil’s most dazzling landscapes. Tropical fruits and lunch are served on-board.

Day 5: Free Day in Rio de Janeiro. Evening Samba Dinner Show
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Today is at your leisure to enjoy the beaches, shop and explore more of this amazing city.
This evening you will be collected by private vehicle for a Samba Dinner Show where you will be entertained and amazed by the spectacular combination of Brazilian music and dance.
The cast of graceful dancers and bombastic drummers provide a compliment of movement and sound highlighting the Portuguese, indigenous and African cultural origins of Brazilian popular music.

Day 6: Half Day Group Excursion to Favela Santa Marta
Meals: Breakfast

Santa Marta is a favela (shanty town) located on Dona Marta Hill, officially part of Botafogo, in Rio de Janeiro. The residents refer to the favela as Santa Marta because of the image of the saint kept in a chapel at the top of the hill.
The community is famous for being the place where the video was filmed for Michael Jackson's song “They Don't Care About Us”. Recently, part of the favela has been painted by local artists in order to beautify the area.

Day 7: Fly to Foz do Iguacu. Afternoon at Leisure
Meals: Breakfast

This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Foz do Iguacu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy your hotel facilities and explore the city.

Day 8: Half Day Group Excursion of Brazilian Side of Iguazu Falls. Fly to Rio de Janeiro
Meals: Breakfast

Our trip begins at the Iguaçu National Park where we drive through the lush, subtropical vegetation of the park en route to the falls.
Stroll the trail descending the canyon that offers a panoramic view of the more than 240 falls. Take the glass elevator up the cliff face for an exquisite view from the upper deck. The Iguassu National Park along with its sister park in Argentina form the most significant remaining rainforest in the southern cone of South America which along with the waterfalls has been declared a National Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 9: Transfer to Buzios. Afternoon at Leisure
Meals: Breakfast

This morning you will be collected from your hotel for the 3hr transfer to the coastal resort town of Buzios. Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodations.
Days 10-11: Free Days in Buzios
Meals: Breakfast

Buzios is located on a small peninsula that juts out from the Brazilian mainland. Like many places along the Atlantic coast, Buzios was originally a hangout for European pirates and slave traders which contributed to the mix of people that live there today.

Day 12: Transfer to Rio de Janeiro Airport
Meals: Breakfast

Today you will be transferred to Rio de Janeiro International Airport (3hrs) to meet your international connections.

12 Day Brazil Vacation for a total of $4500.00 per person. Final payments are due 90 days befor departure.

Passports
Please double check your passport is valid for six months beyond the date of return from your trip. If you change your passport after booking the trip with us, please tell us, and then bring the old one with you just in case.

Visas
Visa requirements can, and do, change at short notice and we strongly advise you to check with your National Government’s websites after booking and then a couple of weeks before travelling to make sure nothing has changed.
